I say this weekly but I really look forward to your reactions because this show can be pretty heavy at times and people can be really uptight about their opinions but you guys always keep it lighthearted while still providing your well thought out opinions and theories. First of all, Tyrion is a snitch and I need him to square up outside of whatever is left of King's Landing for getting my boy Varys killed. Especially when he was right. Now, to Dany. Dany's natural instinct has always been to settle things with fire. She just usually has someone around to talk her into another direction. And even then she didn't always listen. She's always been a savage, we were just ok with it cause it was against people it was easy to wanna see burn. She's been slowly unraveling with every loss and this is where it ended. She's being a dragon. There have been red flags for a long time. Even Varys saw them. Her finally slipping over the edge was a long time coming. Im not crazy about it but I feel like if you're surprised by this you haven't been paying attention. She said fire and blood and is delivering. She told Jon just this episode that she was done trying to be loved. Even in the books it feels like this is her end point. I enjoyed the episode though.

Who was innocent really? In the beginning of the episode, Varys was talking with one of his little birds and I think he was trying to poison Danny. The little girl even said that she was being watched by her guards. Before she burnt the city down, that had been the first time she had seen the Bell Tower. That was supposed to be the Targaryens safe place when her father was murdered and the city didn't know anything about. She listened to John and Sansa on sparring Jaime, the one that happend to kill her father and he betrayed her anyway to be with Cersei. All she knew at that moment was that Cersei was up there hiding and protected. As the queen, Cersei had to be the one giving the signal of surrender. Even Tyrion said when he was on trial after saving the city, that he wished everyone had died, because the people were ungrateful and selfish. Not appreciating what he had done. I don't think Danny is a "mad queen", she wanted love and fairness, but found none truly with the people. Lady Olenna said be a dragon and even Varys said, fire and blood. The last chance for everyone was before Melissande died. But what was her last words? DRACARYS!!

When the bell rung as a sign of surrender, all Deanerys heard was the tune from Kelis "trick me" . Let's give Daenerys a break here. She's up against "the qeeun of manupilation" in Cersei. A woman who never indented to help fight the dead (dispite seeing a live demonstration of a whyte) The point is, she agreed to help fight the true fight and she rather schemed against them, then has the audacity to use peasants (whom she really doesn't care about) as human shields making it harder to get to her. Lastly, the way she executed Missandei was simply a sign of her (pissing on) disrepecting everybody. She knew, she didn't had to kill Missandei, but she did it anyway. All these facts where going through Daenerys mind at that point.

Madness is in her blood, it was already there a long time ago, It just needed the right buttons to unleash it.

Dany was easy to keep rational when she had people she trusted around her, Missandei, Jorah, Barristan, Daarios her dragons. She trusted Tyrion, Varys, and Jon - everyone she did trust has died, is in Essos, or is betraying her, lying to her and undermining her. The biggest undermining is Cersei sitting on a throne she had no claim to - that’s why when she finally doesn’t go off the deep end looking at the Red Keep as the bells toll, what the Targaryens built and would burn before they rang the bell...I understand but she did need to calm down a bit 😂 End of the day she went berserk but I feel her to an extent...what I didn’t get was the men on the ground other than Greyworm going so hard, Jon’s northern men especially - Dothraki understandable but the men of the North? In Ned and Robb’s honor maybe but rape and murder = insane. That said Varys never tried to poison Cersei after she burned up the entire Sept of Baelor, he had that little girl trying to make her eat to kill her.

This is the forth reaction I'm watching. It's fun to see how everyone edits the episode. A few people have gotten on Dany's case for threatening Tyrion and I've defended her position by pointing out that he's been USELESS against forming a strategy against Cercie. Mostly because he keeps thinking of her as the same bully he grew up with. he doesn't "see" the crazy bitch she became after losing EVERYONE. Also it's cool to note that this is the first time we see Dany execute someone whom she actually doesn't want to kill. she's very quiet and soft spoken before she tell Drogon to burn Varys. He kept his word to the end too. He didn't plot and sceme behind her back, he told her to her face that she was crossing a line. Even Tyrion tried to tell Varys that real loyalty isn't something you trade away at the first little inkling of uncharacteristic behavior. You pick a side and stick to it. I think Varys "was" going to send out ravens but instead decided not to and burned the letters like we saw. As for Dany going all mad king on everyone????? Well Jon broke her already fragile heart by pulling away from her. She was alreqady prepared to burn shit up after having lost Rhaegol and Missade in one day and Jon could have helped her to regain her mental balance, but he pulled away and in that moment she decided how she would rule. "Let it be fear, then." In fact, I think Dany was even more pissed that the bells actually rang. She was Hoping they wouldn't.

I loved the visuals and the music, as everyone has already stated the writing was kinda shit. I didn't like how easily Drogon destroyed all the scorpions on all those ships and walls without getting hit once, it seemed very unlikely. I could see Dany ignoring the bells of surrender to go to the red keep and kill Cersei with everyone in it, but I didn't like how they had her destroy the whole city, for no reason but she's the "Mad Queen" now. Also shameless plot armor for Arya, running through the city almost dying multiple times. Personally I would have preferred Arya dying, it would have given Jon a better and more personal reason to end Dany's reign. Cleganebowl was rather nice. I laughed when Qyburn got his head smashed by his own creation, but seriously does the mountain have a fetish for smashing heads?

8:40 had me dying. but seriously Drogon was awesome the first half of this episode.

I don't read the books so I accept the direction this show took, I never did trust Danny nor did I ever think of her as someone fit to rule, I noticed last season something was off about her and at last she finally snapped, I'm calling it now, Arya kills her "I'm going to kill the queen", just not the one you originally thought, death rides a pale horse.

Guys you should rewatch episode 52 of attack on titan(if you haven't already), specially when Reiner, Bertholdt and the Beast titan's shifter are chatting on top of the Wall... Some important info was released to the audience there

so how much fucking better would this have been if at that moment when the bells rang and they showed danys hateface, and showed her take off on dragon again... they could have just had her fly straight to the red keep, light up straight into cerseis favorite window, burn down the whole fucking castle... give us some shots of the townspeople watching that with terrified looks on their face... and show jon and grey worm watching, they look at each other and grey worm looks like he's satisfied and jon looks conflicted about it since cersei did surrender. then dany flies back to where they are and yells those soldiers who just threw down their weapons to "either kneel or pick your sword back up". and everybody chooses to kneel. if they did it this way ...it could accomplish their goal of showing Dany continue the attack even after they surrendered, which would show her being merciless to an extent, but without having to show her burning up literally innocent children and families.

The Golden Company was just a hyped up organization that was really sissies and saw what real OGs do They were there to pose and look like they were ready to battle. Daenerys is definitely her father's daughter. The bat shit crazy Mad Queen Daenerys was correct in that the people would never again be oppressed by a tyrant and put in chains again because she decided that she will have them slaughtered and barbecued to death. Now, no one has to worry about the people being treated like slaves ever again. Damn, I feel like eating some damn ribs now after all this fire.

I dont understand why people call her mad queen. First of all, Kings landing citizens were the ones who cheered when Ned got beheaded. Yes, I know not all of them and not the children. First of all, she really asked them to surrender but Cersei refused. Well, Olenna Tyrrell said > and that's what she did

Varys was right that there had to be a King or ruler that would be just and treated everyone fairly in the Kingdom. Jon Snow would be that person. The Mad Queen (Daenerys) was not capable of ruling in a peaceful and fair way. She has always ruled based on fear. I believe that she takes on the personality of the people who influenced her life like the Dothrakis, and her dumb ass dead brother. They were savage AF, and that's all she knows. She tried to compare the situation in Mereen to Kingslanding. Daenerys mentioned that the people in Mereen liberated themselves from their oppressors. However, they only had the courage after she arrived with her dragons and barbecued those dudes who controlled the Unsullied. Jon was naive to believe that Daenerys would do the right thing for the people, although she has only been worried about the damn throne. She used to always talk about the welfare of the people, now all she talks about is getting the throne at all costs. She was pushed over the edge with the loss of her dragons and Missandei. She was not thinking rationally; she has that blood lust now along with Grey Worm. As soon as they killed Missandei, I knew that she would be hell bent on revenge. I had much respect for Varys because no matter what, he always tried to do what was right for the Kingdom and the people. He used all of the information at his disposal and kept secrets to his advantage, but more importantly for the sake of the realm or the Kingdom.

Google the mad queen theory. Book readers have been predicting this since before the show started. If you think this had no build up how do you explain the mad queen theories from a decade ago? Dany chooses to execute people via torture and burning and letting her dragon eat them. This is intrinsically cruel. The book makes a point of showing eddard stark as a noble example of a leader. When he sentences someone to death, he always does so by his own hand and he always does so in a manor that kills them instantly, limiting their suffering. Other noble characters like Robb stark and Jon snow conduct executions in a similar manor. In fact one of the first things Ned Stark does is conduct an execution and he specifically brings bran along to show him how it should be done. He does it by his own hand, and he doesn’t choose a manor that will inflict prolonged suffering. Evil characters choose torture, the boltons skin people alive. Dany's father, aerys Targaryen burns people alive, which is what gave him the reputation as the mad king. The slave masters in Meereen nailed slaves to posts and basically crucified them. Ramsey Bolton fed people to his dogs. Joffrey enjoyed torture, etc. Another thing to Dany does that is similar to evil people is that she violates guest rights and kills people after promising them safety. Walder Frey is reviled as evil for the red wedding. Dany kills griscari leaders during 2 separate negotiations. Dany’s methods of execution were always consistent with the evil characters. Burning people, using torture, feeding people to beasts. Dany also is very naive and stupid in the books when it comes to not recognizing her hypocrisy regarding the slave masters. She herself is of Valyrian blood. The Valyrians enslaved large swaths of the world. And yet she believes herself to be superior to the Dothraki and the giscari. When Tyrion is enslaved he recognizes the similarities between the slavery in slavers bay and the feudal system in Westeros. Lords can rape and kill commoners at will in Westeros. Eg, the hound kills The butchers son for interacting with Arya and Joffrey. Eg. Roose Bolton sees an attractive woman on his lands and hangs her husband and rapes her under his swinging body. Tyrion recognizes that the slaves he is around have a similar level of deference and fear of the masters that the commoners of the westerlands had of his father. Dany is completely naive of this. We have a positive view of Westeros primarily because we follow good westerosi people for the most part. The starks, Jaime, Tyrion, brienne, etc. Even the evil ones we follow are not rapists, eg. Cersei. But if a lord wanted to he could abuse commoners in his realm at will. Dany also shows little sympathy to anyone she disagrees with or has in anyway challenged her. She even feels nothing but contempt when her brother who for many years raised her was killed. She is willing to break oaths and kill people she had promised safety during a negotiation. Dany’s tactics have always been cruel and brutal. It’s just up till now her victims were evil and thus no one felt sympathy towards them. But is it really a stretch that she would use the same tactics against anyone that opposed her right to rule them?

Well what I was going, if there is something I liked in this chapter and the confirmation that Targaryen blood is cursed, they can never control themselves and what they have, it always happens that if they are righteous they die soon and can not reign such is the case of Aegon V, Rhaegar and Baelor himself ... but if they live long they are targaryen cursed, ruthless ... Game of Thrones went from amazing, to a mediocre show. Guess ill have to read the books to see how it really should have ended. Suddenly Scorpions are extremely bad at aiming and she only had to dodge a few shots while last episode she had to dodge a wall of spears and just barely made it. And her decent into madness was far too fast.

I'm waiting for someone to make an edit of the gay prisoner off of Beyond Scared Straight telling dany that she looks dusty and that her hairline is uneven.
