Say what you want about the series, but one thing game of thrones did right was assembling probably the greatest voiceover cast of all time for these history videos.
seriously. a total war game with each house as a playable faction and each introduction to the campaigns narrated by the characters from the serries???
with different unit perks. Unsullied are expensive but strong and stay on the battlefield till 0hp (even knights have a yield percent chance) and sellsword companies will abandon altogether at once if losing horribly.
I already have. Except its not 2 dimenisonal. There are also perks you can enable for each character. The mountains perk would be his giant 2 handed sword he wields in 1 hand easily. Rob/Jon's would be using direwolves alongside them, arthur daynes would be dual wielding and anyone with a valeyrian steel sword would be them using theirs. Eurons would be a valeyrian steel platebody that makes body hits do nothing.
Randyll Tarly's is epic. And yes, he was right about Sam. "The war of the Ninepenny Kings, they called it. Though I never saw a king or earned a penny." I still hate D&D for not including the full "Broken Men"speech. "We put a dog down when it goes mad. Why not a king?" Epic line.
Saxo Rex the Dornish are known for being both badass and crazy. People that live for combat. And since they are used to the deserts they can destroy people that choose to invade it. Plus the Dornish held off the Targaryens (even with dragons) for an additional 200 years

Thank you. Euron is great to listen to,a good actor him.hasn't donr enough tho imo, ghost in the machine I think is probably his most famous role amd he was only support for SJ in that
timpyrules Only if they introduced Euron around the time they brought Ramsay on-screen 😣. He would've been the best villain on tv if they took all his plot from the books!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Actually there's a decent chance that Jon isn't his real name, rather a fake one given by Ned to hide his Targaryen lineage. I mean, if Lyanna/Rhaegar decided to name him Viserys or some shit it'd be pretty obvious that he's Targaryen
For Crusader Kings, there is a Game of Thrones Mod. I've seen playthroughs where they're playing as Daenerys, as Ned Stark, as Little Finger, or even a Jeoffrey and have Cersei stop raising him. :D
Yeah, but why the hell would the Lord of this land, or the Master of Ships, or heck the King himself, be squatting around the filth like a common footsoldier? They'd probably require some good explaination like you're the youngest son of a Lord who spends most of his time on horseback adventuring. Or you're like Euron Greyjoy, sailing the high seas, or maybe a Tarly hunting... Actually come to think of it, maybe I'm wrong. But still, most of Game of Thrones take place in courtrooms, not the open landscape.
Love hearing Max von Syndow’s voice with the Children of the Forest narrative. Watching this five years after Season 6 and still appreciating this! For the Throne!
A genius, epic content and endless possibilities,iv even myself written some books around a song of ice and fire, most continuing on from the end of season 8,even having rewritten seasom 8 myself, besides sleep I cant think of a better form of escape that going deep in my imagination and george rr martins perfect fantasy history world
They could of if they at least halved the sex scenes and random nude scenes and focused more on the story. Was the "Asha/Yara is a lesbian"story important? How about Samwell stealing Heartsbane?
tuanminator1991 There are many clues that make it seem obvious, but the giveaway for me was how Meera described the Knight of the Laughing Tree as having a "booming" voice. That was the same adjective used in Catelyn's POV to describe the knight who defeated Loras in the melee before she realized she was a woman.
@@ms.audreejean5204 True, Tarley is a general through and through, the man you want at the head of your army, but not a cunning political leader like Tywin.
Tywin and Randyl Tarley placed the same value on legacy, but Tywin would have put Sam's intelligence to good use. Tywin recognized Tyrion's intellectual gifts even as he despised him. Randyl didn't even know what he had, he could have been a real rival for power in the Reach.
@@mahoganysqueeze I couldn’t agree more. The problem with Randal Tarley is that House Tarley has a legacy as pure soldiering and they revel in this history and identity. As a result, Randal never thought in political terms and couldn’t see the value in Sam since he and the Tarleys on value martial prowess and demonstrated valor. It’s a warning against being myopic I think.
Man, since HBO is already talking about a GOT spin off (most likely the dunk and egg stories) they should totally consider doing a whole season on just the histories and the lore, with each sherlock style 1,5 hour episode covering a specific timeline (first men invasion vs the children of the forest, andal invasion, long night and the WW, aegon's conquest, dance of dragons, targ reign). But this probably won't happen since it would be too expensive
Thea The Genius That is a great idea. There are so many great stories set in GRRM's world. A series of short adaptations of these tales would be awesome. Dunk and Egg is a great story, but hardly worth a whole series. They could do it in a few episodes and also do the dance of dragons, the defiance at Duskendale, or Robert's Rebellion. These stories would be amazing to see made with the budget HBO spends on GoT.
Howland is a crannogman and was never raised to ride horses in tournet and couch lances. Jaime himself said jousting is three quarters horsemanship and Lyannna might have been the best rider in the North.
Trevor Hudson Actually many believe and probably is Lyanna Stark. If you go and watch Alt Shift X, he has a video on the Laughing Tree Knight that explains why it is most likely Lyanna
@JoeRingo118anyone who says they would rather live in the European dark ages over the middle east during golden age of Islam or the Mali empire shows exactly what's going to on in their head. After the fall of the roman empire Europe really turned to garbage. It didn't bounce back for centuries.
but all the tarlys are about is serving as soldiers. they dont have the ambition to become kings, just as daddy tarly (forgot his name) said. if the tyrells would treat the throne, it is questionable who the tarlys would fight for, but they would never plot against the tyrells
FLGSC Well you can say ut is a betrayal and they swore fealty to house gardener. They could have made the choice to not give up the castle and fight to the death, but they didn't because they were smart, but not honourable. What if a Lannister Army happens to march into the Reach and claim the Tyrells are good as dead. Who's gonna stop Randall Tarly if he does the same and is offered the position of warden of the south?
Michael Sieberhagen maybe the "Queen Of Thorns" names someone. She does have an alliance with Dorne, Varys and Dany. She's cunning and pragmatic, she's got to know Cersei has it out for her, she'll want to deliver one last kick in head . Even from the grave. So maybe she appointments someone.
man Jaime has really become one of my favorites. Such a tragic story, and used by his sister, but still loyal, and besides the Bran part(horrible) I really like him, and roots for him to be the one that really ends Cersei...
nope I remebered when we were first introduced to Tywin(when he skinned the dear), and already there I got the feeling there was more to him. It was obvious he cared for Tyrion from the start, and just because he can't fight anymore, does not make him useless. I gotta a feeling, he has a BIG role to play in the next season, and I will be rooting for him:)
nico olsen Of course he felt that way - i mean he was forced into the kingsguard instead of being heir to house Lannister. He has always had a strange brotherly love for Tyrion, but other than that he used to be an arrogant piece of shit. But it DID make him useless. He was a kingsguard who couldn't fight, and that's why he got a lot more humble and likeable. Don't get me wrong, i really do like Jaime, but that doesn't mean that he didn't use to be a huge cock.
just the imagination and planning and understanding of history and literature to put this together is amazing. even more amazing to think it came from one mind.
I mean....George R.R Martin must be one of the most brilliant people in the world, getting all of those Lores and histories just from his imagination! what a brilliant man!
The animation is so good. The script the actors read are actually really good too. And I thunk this seasons lore has been the best and most interesting yet
Euron was the most dangerous psychopath in the show. Joffrey was vicious but cowardly and short-tempered. Ramsay was cunning but not charming or capable of diplomacy only driven by an impulsive sadism. Euron had a gift for long term manipulation, was a savage fighter, a brilliant strategist, feared by his own men and can play the long game to get what he wants
I guess all the people that ask "Is that Petyr Baelish narrating??!?" A: can't read, B: have never watched Lore and History videos, C: commented within the first 2 minutes of watching
51:00 I thought Young Ned said "not a stag of Winterfell"... which would make me cry. Upon a second listening I notice he says "STARK of Winterfell". Thank God for rewind...
That's strange to use the younger voice of Ned Stark to narrate the House Dayne segment. They typically use the voices of those still alive in the seasons these segments correspond to and this is like they've awakened Ned's ghost.
First Men King Robar II Royce claimed Lady Forlorn after slaying Qyle Corbray, the Andal King of the Fingers. Robar wielded this Lady Forlorn during the Battle of the Seven Stars, using it to kill Torgold Tollett and a decoy dressed as Ser Artys Arryn. The Corbrays claim that Ser Jaime Corbray slew Robar in the battle, allowing them to reclaim the original Lady Forlorn. At the time of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, Lady Forlorn was wielded by Ser Gwayne Corbray of the Kingsguard. During the Battle of the Redgrass Field Gwayne fought Daemon Blackfyre, who wielded the Valyrian sword Blackfyre. Eventually Daemon defeated his enemy. An unnamed Lord Corbray wielded Lady Forlorn during the Battle of the Trident in 283 AC. When Lord Corbray was wounded, his younger son, Lyn, took up the sword and killed the man who had wounded his father. Lyn then led the charge against the Dornishmen and killed Prince Lewyn Martell of the Kingsguard. Because of this feat the sword was left to Lyn instead of the elder Lyonel Corbray when their lord father died.
Iadad so, this sword is abit of a mystery, because house Royce had a sword later on that they lost in the dance, but house cobray (the original owners) have a sword with the same name, so either they reclaimed it or got a new one
this is my fix before season 7... man the next season is so hyped up to be action filled, sucks we have to wait at least till (HOPEFULLY) end of may, but since we don't have a new teaser for almost 3 months looks like its going to be in June....aaaaaaahhhh i can't waiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
It appears that the Ironborn are going to struggle in a world to come. They'll have to become traders, since they got no fertile land, or just move to other places, or just extinct. If Euron joins Cersei - that's the shortest way to the extinction.
And these broken and bare rocks could muster the teleport-fleet of Euron? 300 years of hardship, three major wars lost in the last 25 years. The best men dead or with Yara...and yet they crushed the fleet of the Reach, Dorne and Yara with ease...bullshit.
To be a great actor is to be a great narrator. You must be able to tell the story, or even a portion of the story to the audience. This is the "trick" of how you fill in the blanks and details that a book is very full of, yet fit it into a TV series or a movie. Shakespeare did this a lot with his plays, although he'd drown his audience in words. Every actor/actress should enjoy a good storytelling, parents love telling stories to their kids...
This show was so fantastic. It breaks my heart that it ended the way it did. Please GRRM, make those last few books good so at least that story can be concluded well. And many have made a good point. Why can’t we get an open world RPG set in this world. You could pick from a number of major houses to start from for replay ability. Choose different weapons, armor, skills. Politics and alliances like Morrowind. It could be amazing.
Yes, they resorted to dark magic in desperation in their war against the First Men. But the White Walkers broke free of their control and became an enemy to the living
man I just love this story telling its just as good as the show . i don't want to sound like a moron because i don't know if there is one but i think a book should be made of all these story's.. but not just any book one with old English illustrations like the ones you find in very old religious text.. making the book look authentic like if at one point in history these story's really happen lol man that would be something id buy a book like that would keep me busy for a very long time .. might even turn me on to real history lol
patman0250 Kindly forgive me for the unsolicited correction, but this is a pet peeve of mine. The plural of story is stories, not story's. The apostrophe between the Y and S in story's indicates either contraction ("This story's great!" Story + is), or is used to indicate a possessive ("This story's characters are unbelievable." The characters of this story.) My sincerest apologies if I have offended you. Either way, feel free to flag this comment as spam.
one thing i dont get about the vale. if it was conquered by people coming from the sea why cant it be conquered again like that? oh also, i thought in the first season version of this they made the point that the mad king named jamie to the king's guard to fuck with tywin, deprive him of his heir, but here jamie is made king's guard because of cercei?
