Your comments on Stannis is all the crazier in the books because in the books its Stannis and Jon who find out about Jeoffrey being a basterd instead of Ned and Jon. So basically Stannis saw Robert as such a lost cause that he didnt even warn Robert and just fled and immediately started preparing for war. This coincides with Stannis character as at one point he seriously proposed outlawing prostitution

Not So Fun Fact: - When Robert and Stannis were still boys, their father, mother and some of the Baratheon vassals, traveled to Essos and on the way back, while in Shipbreaker's Bay, the waters destroyed all the ships including the one their parents were on. Pretty much everyone drowned. Robert and Stannis stood and watched the horrors and were scarred for life seeing their parents drown. When Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna, then the Mad King killed Ned's dad and brother, both Ned and Robert were actually in the Vale. - Jon Arryn called the bannermen of the Vale to rebellion, but not all were on the their side, so Jon and Robert went to fight the bannermen that did not side with them. Robert led the fight and after victory, sailed the Narrow Sea back to Storm's End rather than by land to avoid being arrested. He then had to fight some of his own bannermen who sided with the Targaryens (hence the winning three battles in a single day). - Ned, who was never meant to be Lord of Winterfell (since he had an older brother), found himself in that exact position, and he had to smuggle himself through the mountains of the Vale then by sea all the way back to The North to call his banners. - Then Ned and Jon secured the Riverlands' alliance by both marrying with the Tully's.

When Theon says bend the knee, he doesn't mean anyone who swears loyalty but specifically people who surrender after a battle. Ned wouldn't execute someone after they surrender a battle.

You didn't interpret anything wrong. Ned did only barley knew Cat and Ned left for Roberts Rebellion. The Greyjoy rebellion is a seperate thing

Whats also crazy even tho this is a theory but what if Little Finger was the one to tell Brandon what happened to his sister basically causing both Roberts Rebellion and the War of the Five Kings. He would be using a trick he would later used on Ned of framing the way you talk about something or the way you pass off information to get a desired affected or response from the person
