When winter comes for war, You will hear no lions roar When winter forces you to yield, No stags will graze upon the field When winter creeps upon you from the shadows, no roses will bloom in the medows When winter spreads over the land, There will be no snakes in the sand When winter brings to life all that is grim, The krakens will freeze where they swim. When winter fights to the last shiver, No trouts will swim in the rivers. When winter brings all to despair, No falcons shall fly in the air. When winters snows begins to fall, Not even dragon breath will keep you warm in your hall. When winter comes with all its might, Only the wolf shall howl in the night.
Yes it actually shows what i am hoping for... A better Westeros, where the ruler cares bout his/her People , like Dany of Jon , but both aren't able to survive, winter is strong , only the spark of hope survives , hope that they can be in peace after this , fire Burns even when it's cold but the Tides Will change the real danger is Essos...
Matt Condo Well nothing last forever, right? Not even a magic wall it seem. But you have to admit, when the night king is knocking on someones door or wall, they defenetly will know. ;)
@@kronniichiwa9909 Arya was so far removed from the white walker conflict the entire show story wise it made zero sense for it to be her they just wanted to go for a shock I was really upset that they built up to this big bad for so long for him to be dispatched so quickly
@@timassmann1246 oh i don't know... maybe giving at least a fucking epic fight that they have been building for 8 years. The NK spend his last 8 k years planning his invasion, the wall was literally builded because of him.. and you are telling me that a random jump is the way how you end the climatic point in the story?
Especially then in the finale. You have a literal face stealing assassin who killed the night king. Mine as well let Jon get banished. You did nothing, Arya Stark. Don’t kill the mad queen or her top General to save your most beloved brother or anything.
Even if the moment made no sense. The Night King was killed by dragonglass, which is deadly to them because it’s forged from dragonfire, but dragonfire itself doesn’t do anything?
What always gives me chills is when they see what's coming and you hear the three horns, and what can they do or say when the Dragon comes? Run. RUN. RUUUUUUUN!!!!!
IMO the first minutes of this OST is the Night Watch horn blasting 3 times/the undead advancing on the Wall. Whoever our PoV character climbs the ladders to the top of the Wall (similar to when Jon Snow saw the biggest fire the North has ever seen), reaching the top at around 1:15 seeing the undead army at the gates as far as the eye can see. The NW fights back and deploys defense mechanisms to stop the undead from ramming against the gate like fire arrows/barrells. Maybe at around 2:50 they spot the NK atop Viserion and go "oh shit". Viserion advances and starts fire/ice/ghostfire breathing on the Wall at around 3:43. At 4:07 the Wall breaks. The music from there on is the army of the undead breaking through and massacring everyone in the other side. Winter is Here is the credits ost.
They should have done way more with him and the army of the dead in season 8 it literally crushed my spirit....from extreme excitement to absolute emptiness..... I’d kill for a redo of season 8
This show really feels empty now that the Night King and the White Walkers are gone. All this epic buildup and it ends in one episode midway through the season.
The tone is given ... this music is both frightening and magnificent. The white walkers are the reflection of all the vices of man: a being who destroys everything in his path. While waiting for the last episode where we will certainly witness the destruction of the wall, this music is a very scary melody
Lol they turned him into a complete joke. A guy that was only pushed back the first long night, waited 8000 years and got stabbed by a girl teenager. Worst villain in history.
@@sathyanarayanan4839 You do realise HBO offered D&D not only more episdes, but more seasons with as much budget as they wanted? You're the dumbass here. He is pointless when his existence was the focal point of the entire story, but got killed in the middle of the last season literally in the first battle. White Walkers were there to show how childish and dumb all of westeros is, meanwhile here we have the ''strongest warrior in all the seven kingdoms'' one shotting him cuz subversion. By the way, she's not the strongest. Not at all. Arya is an assasin, one that can handle a blade well enough, but go ahead and try putting her against Oberyn, Jaime, Barristan, Clegane brothers, prime Robert or Arthur fucking Dayne. Without plot armor of course. Spoiler alert: she'd get butchered in every single one of these fights
3:07 is the best part imo. I love that bassline all on it's own. It's a slow impending doom. It reminds me of the Jaws theme, and I bet that is part of what he was going for.
After seeing the final moments of nk...and then hearing this song....feeling nk's end was not up to mark...I wanted it to be more dramatic wid some more heartbreaking demises of our loved characters!!
"In that darkness the White Walkers came for the first time. They swept through cities and kingdoms, riding their dead horses, hunting with their packs of pale spiders big as hounds."
@Not Alfie You mean the brief scene where we are shown the giant proportions (at which time I was mad with joy) of the WW army? The same episode where D&D placed Alys Karstark on their vile pedestal of butchered ASOIAF characters?
@@RikkiTikkiTavi290 Snow mist and icy weather don't turn a day into a night. The Others fault of the first, actual LN is almost certainly a deliberate lie or blurring of the truth sometime in the 80 centuries that followed the said event.
@@ДесиславаВелковска Game of thrones isn't real life, the long night is caused by magic and white walkers, and the Earth of game of thrones is not our Earth. Reality doesn't apply to a totally fictitious story set on another planet.
CameronM1138 yeah just FYI hans zimmer essentially patented the ticking motif with his soundtrack in Journey to the Line in the movie The Thin Red Line from 1998. This became more popularized in the Time soundtrack of Inception(2010) He then continued that pattern with other films such as interstellar and dunkirk.
2:52-4:07 Best part of this amazing soundtrack. Hearing this I immediately imagined the Night King having a smirk on his face while sitting on Viserion and the Wall collapsing. Meanwhile all the Walkers and Wights walking past the Wall beneath Viserion. They run towards the camera, we still see in the Background the Night King and Viserion. the camera fades away and the credits roll.
Speculation : 1:38 NK on the Ice dragon doing some magical shit with the wall 2:05 The wall starts to crack and breaks the magical spell protecting it, Nights watch is helpless, sends out ravens 2:30 The wall starts to collapse. 2:50 Aftermath of the wall collapse scene 3:06 Long shot of the huge horde of the undead all across the other side of the collapsed wall 3:34 The undead start crossing the wall 3:46 Slow cut to the shot of the NK with the ice dragon and a huge aerial shot of the swamp of undead all marching down south towards Winterfell. 4:05 Roll End credits
I hope that at 0:00 we get three blasts and either Tormund, Berric and co. or Delorous and co. begin grabbing arrows and torches and shit and then they get to the top of the wall and look down and see the army of the dead. I also hope this scene takes place at night so it's more dark and full of terrors.
Tim Evans That's a bonus track. The last minute and fifteen seconds of this song is playing at the end. Think about the pause between the last minute and fifteen seconds compared to the rest of the song.
3:21 The choir part there, from that point on as I watched the undead army (including one of the giants) marching south I got the most intense chills throughout. Talk about more scary than the season 2 finale's White Walker march towards the Fist of the First Men.
Can you just imagine the possibilities of next season, there is a chance we will see Dany riding Drogon and Jon riding Rhaegal fighting The Night King riding Viserion. We may get to see our very own Dance of Dragons.
+Josh Richardson When you've been around in the freezing fucking cold with no good company and a bunch of mopey dead dudes to talk to for like eight thousand years you tend to look that way I guess
Listening to this on Bose headphones, turned way up. My God. The choir and violins...and then that bass comes in...the hair on my arms is standing STRAIGHT up.
They have such terrifying themes, makes them so much more frightening than your typical zombie type monster to me. That and, you know, they still have organization and THOUGHT behind their attacks. But the music has such an incredibly powerful feeling of impending doom.
Hearing this song gave me hype and everything. And after today's episode, this song died. Disappointment. Prepared for years to see Night King die like the biggest joke ever existed. Expected much more but RIP
To be honest, I know that light of the seven is an amazing track and Ramin won an award for it, but to me this is the best ost he has made. It personifies death. An overwhelming horde, a slow moving chill, a cold death and complete annihilation of the living world as we know it. This soundtrack is his best composition as a music director, While lots is a testament to his music composing skills. There are so many instruments playing in this soundtrack and going together to create this dreaded feeling of fear and death. It’s stunning.
Like Invite all people you don't like, Close the doors, let the music play and the whole building crashes down on them, right? XD Just like the quote: If I'm going down, all of you will with me.
2:46-3:05 The Night King walks towards the Iron Throne with blue fames surrounding the throne room. The bodies of Daenerys, Jon, Jaime, Tyrion, Arya, Cersie, everyone lay on the floor. The Night King touches the Throne and it turns to ice. The Night King wins The Game Of Thrones. Roll Credits. The series began with The White Walkers, it should end with The Night King and The Walkers winning.
Night King: *is the most badass, evil and infamous being in all the series* Also Night King: *dies with in a couple of seconds after being attacked and stabbed by a little girl* Seem legit...
