@@aeldin131 An original thought would be Season 08 is a good season which would be completely inaccurate. S06 Ep 10 really was the pinnacle of the series even though some parts of S05 & 06 were poor compared to the Epic S 01 - 04 . S 07 characters started doing things they normally wouldn't (like making Tyrion completely stupid) and S 08 was a trainwreck. S07 & S08 should have been fleshed out over 3 seasons (at least) and given the fans the finish we deserved.
Since season 8 is so detached from the rest of GoT (S7 had some issues but S8 goes off the cliff) its not a bad thought-remember that in actual GoT bells in King's Landing don't mean surrender-season 2 both said and showed that very clearly.
@@pplr1 Detached is the most accurate word to describe it. But imo it was inevitable at some point. What people loved about 6 seasons was less action more drama, politics, character buildup. It was like watching a critically acclaimed drama. But on the other hand last season was like mindless action film like those superhero movies which btw still are a commercial success. But it felt the way it felt due to the pacing issue. The entire thing was rushed. Otherwise all the mind games, the politics, the character development, the human side to the characters all of this had to culminate in the so called 'mindless war action' . Imo it's wrong to judge it on season by season basis. Look it in its entirety. It had to end the way it ended.
Neither does a dragon concern itself with the opinion of sheep. Apparently, as shown more than once. Because those behind the symbols of the dragon snd the lion perceive ANYONE not of their social standard as irrelevant. I believed that's the *ONE THING* the series had managed to teach the little people. I think I was wrong...
Say My Name. That is actually very wrong-and provably so. Daenerys transitioned Meereen into democracy in season six. That is not only recognizing the sheep have an opinion but that their opinion should be officially important. Season 8 was a combination of nonsense and character assassination-not just the ridiculous city burning but the line about others not getting "to choose" after what the actual Daenerys did in Meereen. Funny enough the writers didn't care about if others got "to choose" after all as later in that very episode they have a council laugh off the idea of democracy-and tried to portray that as ok.
@@pplr1 - Daenerys was never about freeing people or democracy. She simply needed the slave hoards and the slave traders as enforcers and to get things done for her. Plus, without these people there was no way she could have even contemplated on attacking Westeros. Because THAT'S what she has been on about from the end of S1 onwards. Dany was never about caring for others. She was all about others catering to her needs. Though not THE Others...Remember how delighted she was when her hubby pillaged, raped and robbed his neighbours once more to sell them as slaves so he could finance her invasion of Westeros. And how happy she was when she thought she'd be giving birth to the stallion who mounts the world. She was evil and mass-murderous always but it only showed after she had come into her own. I read GRRM said the Valyrians had dabbled not only in the darkest arts but also in bio engineering. Meaning that they messed with the genetics of various beings, themselves included. Actually, they managed to combine their dna with that of dragons. So the term dragonborn is not metaphorical, it's literal. And that lizzard dna will dominate and drive Dany to be her true self. And that this character was a lesson in how easily people agree to and participate in a totalitarian system if only it is nicely wrapped. And what could possibly be wrapped more nicely than Emilia Clarke as the last of her kind? So the rumours about an evil lizzard queen are true 😂🤣! Anyway, I expect Dany to go down in an ocean of flames. She isn't mad, though. She is driven by her desire to sit on the Iron Throne to rule and be worshipped like a mother goddess and by her beast system genes. To me this didn't come as a surprise. I found her conceited, violent and hypocritical. But many were shocked because they didn't expect the turn. And of course you are right: S8 is the WORST of the worst possible and so neglectfully done and rushed that it is pure garbage. I do not perceive this as canon but as badly written and executed fan fiction by two absolute blunderers although the end was written according to Martin's instructions. Whereas he had seen 13 seasons. Easily. Then again the tv series is only a fraction of what is REALLY happening in the books and could never keep up with the written words anyway. Greetings, earthling!
the dragons scenes with the music was THE MOST BADASS scenes ever happened .... god the 6 seasons were unbelievably amazing i feel so nostalgic i want to cry
Whether it's the powerful and magnificent Targaryen themes or the melancholic and ethereal Stark themes, Ramin's music will haunt me forever. Despite the awful last seasons, I will never get over Game of Thrones, no show has ever had such and impact on me and I always feel nostalgic and heartbroken when I rewatch the first seasons. Let's hope they do a better job with House of the Dragon.
But it still has no point its like just watch fucking past after we all know future so i rather wanted season 9 or someone will make further i don’t care if twists are bad or good I want to see more of this masterpiece
@fenrox I don't think Aegon was very diplomatic - he and his sisters torched everything up until everyone (apart from Dorne) realized very soon that there was no point in fighting against 3 dragons (what happened in Harrenhal was case and point). And Jahaerys was not violent because he had no one to oppose him (and he was a good ruler, together with Alysanne who really cared about the people) - but do you think if he had a brother fighting for the iron throne that he would not have resorted to violence?
Absolutely. They really should have ended it with the season 6 finale. The only things I would regret is Djawadi's "Night King' score and Lady Olena's demise
Well techincally it is the official end as well.. Because S7 and S8 didn't actually use the books and mostly improvised (which we all saw how that went..)
@fenrox You are saying that Ramin was instructed how to make the music and that is no true. Nobody directed him, he went to sets and also saw what was filmed from there he started to have a mental picture of how the music will be. He has so much freedom that he even composed music just for fun, like "Stay a thousand years". He himself explained the process.
@fenroxYou measure things by the number of views?! Haha Ok.😏 Sometimes cuantity doesn't equal quality. Maybe ppl like her music because it's powerful or because it reflected the dragons flying, it's a matter of taste I guess. But don't get upset with me just because I disagree, that is silly.
It's really neat the way Ramin Djawadi brings back the rhythm of the main theme with the choral part at 2:08. He doubles the lower note of the bar, but it's the same structure as the main theme's opening bars.
You know what is really giving me the most pain about GOT.. It's all the effort put into it by the CGI team, the FX team, the Music & Sound Effects teams, the Actors, Martin's effort into writing those great books, the Stunt performers, the Scene choreographers, HBO offering unlimited budget and wanting more than 10 seasons to tell a story properly cuz they see the potential in it.. All of those people's hours and hours of hard work ruined by two fucking imbeciles with 3 movies total between them..
Yeah, it makes me sad sometimes cuz people will comment that season 8 was trash. All that hard work and it was all for nought because 2 subpar writers didn't want anybody else taking over. (I think The Long Night episode took like a year to do.) I feel so bad for those people who aren't getting any credit. I appreciate everyone for working so hard.
@@dr.manhattan3585 I never even watched Season 8 cuz I didn't want to ruin the mark this show left in me (unfortuntely I can't avoid the internet and know what happend, but still listen to the music from it even now)
for me Daenerys Targaryen is this. A good queen who cared about about the people, with a large army and three full grown dragons. GOT ended in season 6 for me
Επαμεινώνδας Ψυρίλλος Not Daenerys, anyone from the stark family except sansa for me. But yes, GOT ended in season6 actually. I think, hbo should have taken its time to make the final seasons or maybe they could have waited for the final books by the author. That could be far better than this rushed ending, even if it takes some 3 to 4 years for the books. Now, lets hope this prequel 'Dance of Dragons' could acheive the thing.
The most frustrating thing about GOT: everyone did a good job. The camera work is outstanding, the actors are excellent and the music is just breathtaking, beautiful and out of this world. But the writing since season 7 spoiled everything. That is so disappointing.
@@grom2060 trying to be different? You really do lack intelligence. It’s called understanding the industry. You can complain as much as you like about the ending it would not of mattered if they were given another year or two by the production companies, it would’ve still ended up with Arya killing the night King and Jon snow leaving on his own. That is fact, I’ve sat down and spoken to people behind the scenes about this on many occasions. Isn’t it about time you got over this as well…
@@charlesdarwin7288 If the production companies gave them more time? You in denial or something? It's called bad writing. Plain and simple. Try to cope with it 👍
That's when George R.R. Martin's writing ended. As he said, the show was meant to go up to season 13. Season 7 & 8 were the work of D&D. For me, season 7 was kind of alright. Season 8 was just a complete abolishment of George's work.
wow, did he say it on a interview or is there a article i can look up about it?? did he confirm that s6 was where his writing stopped n D&D took over from there? thanks
@@blob2841 actually, The Dance With The Dragons as last book ends with Jon being killed and Daenerys meeting the Dothraki again, after Drogon has taken her from Meereen back to the eastern plains. That is Season 5 in TV series. Seasons 6,7,8 are all D&D. Maybe Season 6 has small bits of GRRM but very small bits.
@@grumpus5248 there's a lot of things in the books that weren't included in the show, so I don't think it's going to end the same way. Though, Bran being king is something that will probably happen in the books.
I think Ramin Djawadi must have read the books before composing for the show and gotten a soft spot for Daenerys, because her themes are the most vibrant and beautiful. I have a Dany playlist and it's epic ! :D
@@angelicar9671 arya is pretty much coated in plot armor season 5 onwards. Doesnt make her charcter less good, but it makes her less intersting to watch and not nearly as thrilling. You dont feel tension when you see her scenes cuz you know she isnt going to die. I like her charcter but i didnt like watching her scenes.
This was the end of GOT. The finale. This masterpiece of sound. Dany and her dragons sailing into the unknown. Power and confidence. The rest is down to the books George writes. Just so we’re clear ?
This story was always about George's books (and would've been best to have the patience to at least wait for the man to finish them so they can make a proper movie adaption of them..)
@@LasTCursE69 Arya and Sansa would suddenly look about 40 years old if they had waited for Martin to finish the books before making the film adaptations.
The misunderstood Danerys the last Targaryen female, sold, alone in the middle of the red wasted lands, betrayed over and over until the end of her life from the people that she loved the most.that is a terrible ending.

Vikram V I wanna see the dragon queen dany on the iron throne with Jon as her hand of the queen..or Tyrion as he was..and see DROGON and rhagael patrolling the skies over king’s landing and all of Westeros...
Few people really really knows how to give a perfect music 🎶 #Ramindjawadi.. Take a bow 🙇... Man... This music gives me chills.. 😍 😍 Everytime I hear..
The best score of the entire show is from the 6th season . . . Specially this song makes me feel that epicity of the Game of Thrones (including the last season)!!!
I just binged the whole 8 seasons in a week when I was sick. I'm still bitter how they ended it, one of the best series that it was through seasons 1-6. Character and plot development was so well done and thought through. Then they just completely lost the love and hurried it half way done, last two episodes were the most pain to watch.
Not to me. Maybe at one time but I've dug through and debunked season 8 so much that I feel more certain in being able to say we never got a season 8 to GoT as what is presented was so detached it doesn't fit. I can dislike it, but I can also say that wasn't Daenerys so I haven't seen how her story will end.
You cry for what the series became and for what it could have been instead. One thing to help fix that is to realize season 8 is so detached from GoT it arguably doesn't as part of the story. Remember that in actual GoT bell in King's Landing do not mean surrender-season 2 shows this very clearly.
This is the moment when the real Game of Thrones is over: we will never know what will happen next! The last 13 episodes (season 7 and 8) are so stupid and out of the canon of the previous 60 episodes, that they can only be treated as a bad parody. Shame. GoT fans didn't deserve this, the actors didn't deserve this, filming technicians, special effects technicians, and those in charge of set design did not deserve this. D&D should to go a legal trial for how they killed this show by staging the worst ending that television has ever seen.
@@pplr1 Things will go wrong. And today I think more and more that things will go wrong even in the last 2 books that have yet to be published by George Martin. Hey, but if you are a fan of the Stark house (but only of the Stark house!) you can continue watching the series until the end. The ending will suck all the same, but maybe if you only care about the Starks it will suck a little less ...
@@stefanomodonesi Hopefully not but if so you warning was very good to have. I'll have to keep an ear or eye out for if Bran will be just as useless or morally compromised (evil?)
@@pplr1 Bran-evil is a theory that has been very popular with GoT/ASOIAF fans in recent years. There was a time when I believed it too, because it would have explained very well some details that the show has never explained, and that are still unclear in the books. Sadly, though, if we believe that the end of GoT is indeed what we saw (and that there will be no more sequel to this story), then this Bran-evil theory is 100% false. There is a point at the beginning of the first book where old Nan tells Bran "don't trust the crows because they are all liars", and I thought this meant that the Three-Eyed Crow is actually a villain who will take Bran's body to carry out his plan of revenge against humans by becoming their king. Unfortunately, none of this was true, and I think Bran will be king of all Westeros in the books too. I think (in the books) it will turn out that Bran has been in the minds of all those Brans who have been in charge of Winterfell over the millennia (from Bran the builder, who built the Wall, onwards). Bran will be responsible for all of Westeros' story, but he won't be portrayed as a villain, unless Martin has plans to change the ending of his story. George has always said he wanted to create a circular story, so maybe he will really end up with Bran's POV explaining everything that happened, as the first ASOIAF POV was Bran's. This fact would make ASOIAF a cyclical and fatalistic world, in which the characters are manipulated by events and where free will can do nothing against fate. This is an extremely depressing and nihilistic vision: if we surrender to a destiny already written, then it means that people are pawns in the hands of the Gods, and that none of the choices they make is really capable of altering the future, but it could really be what Martin had in mind from the start ...
Loved every single episode of GOT right till the last credits. They never failed to draw you in and show how one can raise up with a strength they never knew they had. 🐉🐉🐲
Is it just me or is the first few moments of this song merged with the Greyjoy theme? And then it goes into house Starks. So cool because it shows Dani merging with other houses and well on the path for the throne. They all fit in so well with her theme😭
