He would be at a disadvantage there, I'm afraid. Dothraki rarely if ever fight on foot. They mostly fight from horseback. Drogo would end up like poor Oberyn if he had to face The Mountain in single combat, as much as I hate to say it. His arakh would not be any help either, not against the plate armor The Mountain wore. Jorah himself said an arakh would be useless against plate armor.

@@joaniekeyser4036 Naaahhh if anything, Drogo would have fared worse against the Mountain, based on your descriptions. Drogo would have fought close quarters, and that would be it for him since the Mountain is both bigger and stronger than him, and wearing more durable armor. One key advantage that Oberyn had in his fight was a spear to keep distance between him and the Mountain. Not to mention he was faster and more skilled at combat. If Oberyn didn’t stop to try and force the Mountain to confess, he would have won that fight.

I'm not close to the sister I grew up with, but I do have two sisters-in-law whom I love dearly, and I have a niece and nephew by one of them.
