When I was a kid and played this game, I felt that Bayou Billy was scary like this because it felt to me like he was reaching out towards the screen trying to break the 4th wall and grab the player controlling him.

Here's a hint for all of you: play the Japanese version called "Mad City", which is *much* easier.

Haven’t played or even seen this game in years, but I still remember the death music clear as day.

From the way this screen looks, it looks like Billy is half the man he used to be.

The game is Bayou Billy, not Billy Bayou.

I always thought of Double Dragon when I see the Blue and Red characters.

That death animation was awesome back then but fuck this game. I couldn't beat the 1st stage and only got to stage 2 about twice.

@miyamotofan and it is one of the few NES games where i am not ashamed of admitting of being heavily dependent on the Game Genie to beat this game.

The furthest ive ever made it EVER without the game genie was that damn saloon and the enemies with the whips... ages later i played game again on the emulator with a game genie code and HOLY SHIT the last master is way out of line....and thats all im gonna say on that -_-

Speaking from experience? Yes, it is VERY easy to get beat up in the bayou.
