GAME SINS | Everything Wrong With Ghostwire: Tokyo 

This game suffers from the same problem as most media nowadays. A beautifully realized world lovingly handcrafted by a team of expert artists pouring their heart and soul into it... to tell a story that was hastily scribbled on a cocktail napkin in about 15 minutes.

Fun Fact:The "all property is theft, kid" is a change the localisation team made not the original text from the game. In the original KK says "Who knows, really."

I love the acknowledgement of the legendary Ghost Stories

Felt like this game was a half-assed tech demo, all the way up until the end where they remembered they were actually telling a story and rushed through it all in five minutes. And for some reason, I get this feeling this was originally supposed to be in VR with how stiff the PC is. At least it's mercifully short, unlike 99% of games like this.

3:48 - Okay thought of a better way to do this. Open on a normal night in Tokyo, then have all traffic and pedestrian lights go to red. (to force a captive audience). Dude starts his sermon on the screens and vehicle radios, our protag, on a motorcycle, is trying to lane split, and becomes distracted by sermon (or gets door'ed by a car), crashes and dies. Then the fog rolls in, everyone else vanished, and he comes to in a deserted city when KK enters his body.

This game feels like a fake game somebody would be playing in the background of a movie scene.

10:16 - How in the hell is he still you know, alive? A) He was supposed to have been a "stone cold corpse" in order for KK to have possessed his body to begin with. B) He was "dying" in the dream world from that chest hole which apparently just... doesn't matter. C) His spirit passenger was just forcibly ripped from his body; which you'd figure would do more than just tickle a bit. This guy has more 1ups than Super Meat Boy. Too bad like Mario, his princess is in another castle. I'd say the reason Mari "survived" was the same as a coma victim. Not there; not dead, but not able to come back in full - for the most part. So since she was already 'dead' enough the spell couldn't rip her soul away from her body, but her soul for the same point as being a coma victim, couldn't fully go back into body. I do think it's convoluted and massively plot convenient, but that one point I can figure out. He's a dead man walking, trying to help a spirit dick - as in private lol - avenge himself (sevenfold) She's the special magical girl who's a breath away from death but probably ends up sailor mooning it at the end. I swear, that pun wasn't intentional. All the rest... So do we call an open world that really isn't all that open or a lived in world, a jar? I thought they'd bragged they were working with a martial arts stunt guy to make the motions; but all we get for special moves is Earth Wind and Fire? (Freely admit I could be mixing that up with Sifu) Somebody call CCR. I see a bad moon arising.

Loved the video and since House of Ashes is up to be voted for I nominate that one for the next sins video. I loved all the videos you've done on the dark pictures anthology so far and want to see the latest title be sinned. I really enjoyed it quite a bit and am looking forward to supermassive's new game this summer the quarry :)

There is one *MAJOR* sin you forgot. Those damn screeching Tengus!! I swear if there was a way to activate friendly fire, I would turn all of Shibuya into DUCK HUNT!! Forget the visitors. There would be bird brains raining from the sky all damn night!!

I love this game and all the Folklore. I spent a good 4-5 hours reading all of the notes/files/info on all the Japanese folklore once i was done with the game. And i scoured the map for every little thing. The open world is small enough where doing this only takes about 20 hours. The side missions are fantastic as well. Pleasently surprised with this game since i didnt know what to expect. If you choose to just do the main story I understand if you're underwhelmed. The side quests and lore make the game

Fun fact the ghost story thing isn't real. The studio was aloud to do what they wanted outside of changing names and the outline of the story. But the show itself was very popular in Japan.

Actually really vibed with this game. Story was a bit disappointing. But I really enjoyed the setting and combat. I'll admit it was... repetitive but Idk I like shooting handsigns at the oops then weaving their souls out. It always felt awesome to me

Why do almost all triple A games these days sound like the dialog was recorded at a network TV studio sound booth. It's hard to put my finger on it but it sounds fake because of that it make it harder to be immersed. FF7R sounded this way too it was diapointing. Not all AAA titles are like that though cyberpunk and rdr2 both sounded like you were actallity there not just a recording.
