It really bothers me that anyone would even suspect Ethan Mars on the basis of such flimsy evidence. It's completely possible to be interested in origami without being a serial killer; the fact that there are 47 origami shops within 1 mile of each other shows that there's probably more than one person who likes origami. Also, Ethan was comatose when the killings began 2 years ago. The game never brings this up as a method of obviously proving his innocence. In fact, once the doctor mentions it during Ethan's psych visit, it never gets brought up again.

I was just thinking about this: Jason & Shaun have absolutely zero depth to their characters; they literally just exist to be traumatized & killed. And because of this, they indirectly make Ethan look grossly incompetent as a parent, and thusly make him a bit of an alien when it comes to relatability. I can't empathize with Ethan & his plight at all because he lost *both of his kids* under very manageable circumstances; the dude's a moron lol.

I was seven when I saw my brother die in a hospital bed, and because no one wanted to explain what the FUCK was wrong with him medically to cause him to be hospitalized in the first place, I became an anxious germophobe until I was thirteen when I started reading SELF HELP BOOKS. The first time I saw a therapist was when I was fifteen, for my anxiety (which was kickstarted by having no clue why my brother died), and my parents didn't give a shit, despite both of them having gone to therapy over my brother's death. All in all, real parents also make the mistake of thinking they need therapy, but that their other children don't. I was a bit like Shaun trying to cope, but instead of drawing pictures, I wrote my will and testament. Really. A seven year old writing things like "if I die, give my stuffed squid to my friend, Chris, and give my books to Sarah." And my parents did not think that was unsettling at all.

It really irritates me that none of the fathers went to the police after they got the box from the origami killer. Also the blackouts was actually going to be Ethan kind of see the victims that the origami killer has drowned, so when he got the blackouts, he was swimming around in water. You can see that in behind the scenes or deleted scenes. I don't understand why they kept the blackouts there if they doesn't make any scenes and they suddenly stop talking about it lol

I think on 154 one of the police officers mentioned they've managed to track Ethan's car or bumped into it during patrol or something. That's why the police know where he is. Dunno how did Madison acquired that info though. On 163 there is a scene where Shelby erases fingerprints on the typewriter he used to kill Manfred, but you'll get to see it during the evidence burning scene. 239 He stole it from a taxidriver

30:10 - That's a plothole because you got caught at the hotel. If you escape the hotel successfully, Ethan steals a taxi in the most pathetic way possible, and for some reason, Blake does not start shooting at him, and the cops don't have anyone bother trying to give chase in a squad car.

The funniest thing about this SIN count was watching the narrator lose it more and more every time someone in the game mispronounced origami. Every time the narrator flipped because origami was mispronounced I cried tears laughing. The prize in the video is when the narrator flipped saying "origami its NOT that hard to say!" I TOTALLY LOST IT WHEN HE SAID IT BECAUSE; I COULD HEAR THE PASSION AND FRUSTRATION IN HIS VOICE! Thank you sir this was your best work and I love all your work!

The funniest part is that the most sensible thing to do in case your son runs away, is to tell to the mister clown that your goddamn son i running away, pick him up, slap the little shit kid and pay the clown.

Scott did wipe down the typewriter at Manfreds place, it was just in the cutscene revealed later when he's burning the evidence. However, if you don't look out the window for no reason then he doesn't wipe it down even though he had to be the one who opened it

I'm surprised you didn't sin the fact that the ending fight between Norman and Shelby had a lot of problems with spatial awareness. A lot of times, it was indicated that they were near or at the end of the conveyor belt, only to have them be transported farther along so that there was more time for their fight.

The characters trying to pronounce “origami” is ironically hilarious, considering how important origami is for the plot. “arigamy”, “ahreegamie”, “origarmy” etc. However, Gordi not being able to pronounce origami is a pretty good hint for the audience that he is lying about being the origami killer. Shelby is investigating the murders because someone copied him. Shelby considers this a great opportunity to blame someone else for the murders Shelby committed as the origami killer. Shelby is however helping Lauren to find a lot of clues that point towards himself being the killer. Which seems very counterproductive if that was his plan.

On in anime a character sneezes when he's remembered or brought up by characters in another scene. Here the boy sneezes when other character who's doing something related to him is in the same scene. It's a different cliche.

There should be a bonus round for multiple endings. My brother played the ending where the final confrontation was between Madison and Shelby, and because of other factors, not finishing the trials, even more loopholes are inside for the story, including a faleout, wham line!

That car accident always bugged me cause Jason didn't get run over or anything major meanwhile his dad is taking the hit right on his back protecting Jason and he just... *dIed??*

It’s entertaining that you just quit after a while, from just mild questioning about how they say it, to becoming furious about them, and then just outright saying “Do you think they misspelled Origami in the script?” Priceless and incredible

Dud Shaun murder the bird? 😐 Did Lauren's partner die in the tunnel? Why would Nathan have visions of any drowned bodies, rather than of car crashes? Which of the kids did Kramer kill? Is there another way for Jayden to actually solve the case using his AR clues without Madison calling him? Lauren is a terribly negligent mother; by Scott's logic, she should be undeserving of ever gaining his respect or sympathy, yet somehow she does. Why does Jayden's AR produce menacing little hologram tanks? Why does Shelby completely ignore his mother for a decade, then randomly murder her when the father of the guy he's trying to frame tells him her name which, presumably, he knows?!

This game is based on story, yet full of plotholes, with some terrible voice acting, but still somehow I enjoy playing it.

The cinematic presentation was quite impressive for the time. That was the only thing the game had going for it. The story was a jumbled mess of nonsense and contrivances, and the twist was so very poorly done. The worst part of it is when you, the Player, can listen in on Shelby’s thoughts regarding the origami killer - why would he think, to himself, about the Origami killer as some third party, when he knows he himself is the killer? Does Shelby somehow know the player is listening in on his thoughts? Is he worried about random telepaths uncovering his “secret”. It’s utterly ludicrous and completely destroys the story of the game.

Another thing to note about Papa Kramer is that the boy who his son killed was black, while John was white. This implies that the dad was a racist, so he cared only about the white child who died on his property. The black child who died was also not on their property. As for the yellow taxi, it was shown to be stolen by Ethan when he escapes the police at the motel. If you got captured, it does appear to be a plothole. However, he may have simply stolen the car offscreen.

Scott was investigating the child's murder because he didn't do that one. This was made obvious when he kidnapped children with fathers and Lauren didn't have the father of her child in the child's life

This is such a good game and I love the idea and plot. But I don’t like how they never explain why Ethan wakes up from his blackouts with an origami figure. They also never explain how Jason dies but the camera shows Ethan getting hit by the car💨

Some of these sins were based on your gameplay. For example when he says " I paid for 10 minutes of your time" there is an option to put money on the table. Another is where you persuade Lauren to talk without getting into a fight.

You forgot the fact that Ethan had a complete breakdown from cutting off the top of his finger but Mike from Untill Dawn winced after getting two of his stuck in a bear trap and amputating them, then making a joke immediately afterwards

The biggest sin of the game Heavy Rain that's 10 years old is some jackass spoiled the surprise of who the killer was. That guy should be horsewhipped.

At the end of the long red hallway where you enter the white room, it looked awefully similar to Stanley Kubrick's 2001 A space Odyssey. David Cage ripped that off as well and it's totally worth sinning.

My biggest problem was the opening scene; why would a ten-year-old run away from his parents. The only reason for a kid that old to wander is to find his parents, yet he was by his dad and left the mall. That made me angry because it's super unrealistic. Though Ethan's voice actor was great in this.

Shelby was tasked to make Lauren scrambled eggs but he made an omelette. Ethan got the taxi by hijacking it after he escaped the police.

The best explanation I can come up with as to why Shelby even bothers investigating the crimes would be that he wants to get rid of evidence and leads incriminating him, as well as to see the effects his killings have had. As to how this involves Kramer, I have no idea.

How Jason dies is he smacks his head on the road. Basically if his dad had not jumped and grabbed him, Jason might still be alive.

One time I wandered off as a kid while my family and I were in a store. They found me half an hour later clear across town, by a tennis court. Not all kids will beeline to the nearest toy or video game store.

Why does nobody realizes that Scott is "investigating" to get rid of evidence? And him being a private investigator makes the most sense for all of the questions? And he's investigating Kramer to keep Lauren off his scent?

We know Kramer's not the Origami Killer, but he could be the Origarmy Killer!

I loved this game despite its flaws. Just had a great atmosphere imo.

Somehow, the game with the undead wendigos attacking horny teens at a ski lodge is more believable. Maybe it took that one girl forever to take a bath, but at least her motives made sense!

Basically this game wouldn't exist if the origami killer wasn't trying to hide the already unsolvable fact that he is in fact the killer

My biggest problem with this game is the horrendous camera angles in the game. There are quicktime events that I miss because the camera angle is totally wrong, or it'll tell you to "go to the bathroom" but you're in a building you've never seen before and you can only choose from two shitty camera angles, neither of which show the place you're meant to be going.
