Honestly I think we all know Link would win the Olympics. He has archery, high diving, equestrianism, fencing and weight lifting nailed down. Even if he’s kinda cheating on that last one.

The speed difference is insane and in real life sports, speed is so important sonic dosent need technical ability to dominate in these sports, like tyreek hill has average hands and poor route running but still is a top football player

At least, we can agree on one thing. SEGA are more daring when it comes to their titles. They always seem to be willing to do things that are risky. Think Sonic Boom and Sonic '06. I think that's why Sonic is more memorable. Sonic's games are more about trying a new idea while Mario seems to just do what they know will work. In the end, that's why I kinda like Sonic more than Mario. His games are more outlandish and thus more memorable.

You say at the end that you didn't cherry pick events for Mario to win, but you kind of did exactly that. You looked back for weird past events because Sonic would win in most of the current events and you didn't want to give Sonic the easy win. Also, I disagree with your assessment that experience would result in Mario winning any sports like tennis or soccer. Sonic's pure athletic abilities would easily outshine Mario's experience.

Something I would like to point out for "Town Planning"; in the Sonic mobile game, Sonic Dash, the first area Seaside Hill Zone, there is an optional thing to unlock rewards, such as getting other characters. You build areas after defeating a certain amount of enemies and rescuing the animals that were trapped within them. Sonic is the first forced character, so you are forced to BUILD the area with him, and upgrade what you already have built. Other characters are playable by doing a few other things, but Sonic is still usable for that. Now, it doesn't show what character is building it, but he can make a house in the matter of seconds. I just wanted to point this out in case you end up making a THIRD video for some reason, and maybe the match-making could be a bit more even. He also does this throughout several different zones in the games with different areas.

Don't know if this affects anything, but Sonic and the secret rings had a mini game section which might give Sonic some advantage. It was kind of Mario party like so It might not matter though.

Claimed to skip over games that involve sports to level the playing field but brought them back for mario. Feels like at that point you should count in all the other racing events now too. You can't negate both in the first episode cause its unfair and then decide to allow one to slip by in the second episode.
