Wow brings back memories... my first GBC game. Even though I only played the first few levels ! I never managed to get him to jump far enough on the dinosaur. Oh well !
I loved this game growing up. It had awesome music and a cool guy fighting dinosaurs with lots of guns. Never could make it past the fire-breathing pterodactyl though...
Played this endlessly as a kid back in the day. I remember walking into the last guy and triggering a cutscene. Looking back it’s a terribly repetitive game, but the memories of destroying dinosaurs back in the day will remain forever. Absolute nostalgia here.
Played this none stop for weeks determined to finish it as soon as school finished my Dad used to keep me supplied with AAA batteries to keep my Game Boy Pocket going lol.
@@ostradiemgi5469 - Yup, there's a considerable amount of people that think arps = Tim Follin. It's an understandable mistake, though. He's probably the only chiptune composer of his era with this characteristic "euro-style" that became relatively mainstream. Funny enough, González relied more on arps than Tim. It's still true that Alby had a lot of inspiration from Tim Follin. He admited it himself. However, you probably already know that.

My first GBC game, got it from Santa with my GBC! So many great memories, amazing game. Question though, 24 mins in, does this guy playing ever figure out how to switch between weapons? I remember it being hold down select and tap up or down. Can't even seem to shoot up or diagonally, or crouch and shoot. Consider reading instructions. Edit: Okay, looking a lot better now. Great video!
I meant on beginning of this game it's weird that it looks like a suburban type of area and you play a descendant of Turok (both things just like Turok 3)
The second part of stage 8 has the most unfair jumps in video game history. Period. Be 1 pixel too late on the jump button and you fall to your death. Be 1 pixel too early and you fall to your death. This really sucks, man. The game is pretty decent, but that level really pisses me off.
Most of the older games are not hard, it was just badly designed. I realized it when Miyamoto admitted that some of the games that were made was rushed because of executive meddlings.
why did you kill the last guy at the end? i remember he used to trigger a cutscene. before i was able to read i was always curious to know what he was saying.
That's right. On the other side of the tube, there's a computer you need to destroy in addition to the tube to get the good ending. If you don't kill him he tells you about the secret passage to get to the computer.
Why is this run & gun shooter game sooo colorfull with so many thema levels including grass land, the desert etc,,, it’s looks more like a asterix game being moddified into a turok game, It simply misses that darkisch atmosphere from contra on the nes, same proplem with those colorized versions of castevania 1 & 2 on gbc,
One of my buddies had this game growing up. I'd always play it on his Gameboy at his house while he played better games on the SNES, lol. Good times, I never finished it though. Might have to try it again on emulation or something.

This game was alright. The design pissed me off though. Only certain enemies in the first stage can hurt you, but they all look the same. There are quite a few guns, but the bullets all look the same, making it hard to gauge damage. Also,I remember trying to out-walk that damn sandworm.
In Lvl1 it's a feature you get after acquiring Turok's bag, press select to activate X-ray mode and scan for reptiloids. Though you can actually just stab everybody, only the reptiloids die.
