LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER I understood that this thing going to be a crazy but now I realize it’s going to be far more INSANE than I imagined. Well done Sam! This will be one for the books for sure🙌
He looks like one of those futuristic tech guys that you'd find in a movie like The Fifth Element/Bladerunner/The Matrix or the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game that sells you gear, upgrades your abilities, and hacks shit for you lmao. This is amazing.
He's like a time traveler from the future that went back to the 80's, brought the culture back to the year 3000 and finally settled in 2020 after a series of misadventures regarding time travel, robots, AI's and EDM concerts.
This is just freaking amazing! This guy should be famous one day. He's got the look, the voice, and the talent. Some show should pick this guy up, like some sort of weird science show or some shit.
@@HowardKlein1958 I didn't know success would ruin someone's life. That is usually what ppl strive for, to be known & succeed. Tf are you talking about? Who actually tries to strive for mediocrity?
Anyone of any hobby would be doing well to have even half of your skill, work ethic and determination. Makes me want to work harder at my modular synth and all of my hobbies !!!
This is absolutely astonishing the amount of work and time that has gone into something like this, it’s incredible to see how it works, how you can manipulate the sounds and this channel has opened up a world I never knew existed.
Sam - thanks for videos demonstrating the problems you encounter and your troubleshooting process. So many videos make it look like every experiment turns out hunky dory and never hits snags. For us that try to learn something, it really deprives us from observing this crucial process, and makes it seem that any problem you encounter is totally not normal. Thank you for showing your failures and challenges!
WOW that whole stretch from 10:15-12:15 was so amazing, i was totally lost in it! edit: also, wtf this is the coolest instrument in the world why isn't this giant wall of gameboys more famous!?
ooohhhh maaannnn!!! I LOVE the bit at 10:00 where you have some coming up and some coming down, that just sound MASSIVE. Cant wait to see it on the road some day!! :-D
if someone does not open a museum with your stuff in it i will lose my s***, i've never wanted to play with anything more than your builds. lights, dials, switches ! am i the only one who wants one just to drown out the world ?
This is really exciting stuff for the music world! It's evident something great will transpire from all this hard work. I truly hope musicians and other artist will collaborate with you. Spectacular!
This is wizardry I tell you! I love analog anything and seeing you make music from GameBoys or any other non digital electronics is awesome. Keep developing your equipment and making music, I'll be looking forward to more contraptions.

@@bobstar76 The comments on this page definitely reflect a widespread (and deeply felt) desire for this momentous colab to occur...before the end of 2019. Maybe the patreons can legally compel them to do it through some kind of Service Level Agreement or something.
I just made my g/f watch this with me. She says the following: "This is the most synth-nerdy thing on the planet". Also she facepalmed at "Mini Gameboy megamachine". Those are compliments !
Your tech knowledge is so inspiring. I'm just a humble feral bohemian mess who wings it all on instinct. I wish I actually knew as much about the tools I use as you do. ;D Speaking of those tools, if you ever make this into a working VSTi you *will* have my money.
hello I came across some of your videos ... I find you brilliant, you use your mind in a very creative way ... I also really like the fact that you are different from many of your peers ... and I also really like your music .
that is one very happy box of bees, btw thanks for pluging in some missing information to my brain stems i needed the info about a vca filter volume knob being THE SAME THING. !!
That has an Awesomely Powerful Sound,… that would be a Great intro for either an Electronic Beat to kick in ,…or even a Heavy Electric Guitar Riff to begin a song at a Live Concert . Brilliant Work.
I love when a small concept idea turns out to be a catalyst for something amazing. I haven't seen any of your other videos, but this is mind blowing. I'm going to check the rest out now.
@@stevenhaines1105 You could. Novas have actually gone up in value recently I think somehow. Even if they were still worthless you would get enough for quite a few game boys.
I’ve been building a 4-voice analog poly modular around a bastl 1983 and yea it’s pretty much a necessity to have 4 vcos/vcas/envelopes/lfos/and a polyphonic keyboard like the Arturia key step that will sequence 8 notes per step for 64 steps. It’s amazing how much flexibility there is to have a knob for every parameter of each voice it’s fun as hell. Keep up the great work mate I’ve been loving your channel since I discovered it. Love diy projects probably 85% of my massive modular setup controlled by an ondes martenot I built myself it’s an obsession
love this, first video ive seen on it and already i see the endless potential of sound and visual effects possible, very impressed, very very impressed indeed
