Gamemaster Thoughts: Ten Candles 

I really appreciate the honesty of this video. All DMs want to run a good game and not railroad too much but it happens. I think you did an excellent job encouraging the players and the bottom line is everyone had fun. This is ultimately what is most important. Since COVID-19 I can’t even find a group that will play. Great job, really enjoyed it!

So finished the playthrough and this video and I can see some of what you were talking about new vs old players. Akeil, I think that's how it's spelled, the guy sitting next to Arielle, even mentioned that it's not a typical tabletop rpg. I am very much looking forward to more videos!

I have a DnD one shot session in mind where the players are transported into the minds of people defending a doomed city under siege, in order to put them into the actual backstory of the world. Would 10 Candles be an appropriate way run this?

Every session of Tem Candles I see on RU-vid, people are playing in a present day earth setting. I am wondering if you can, among the players and dm, decide upon a different setting like Ancien Rome, Forggoten Realms, a space station, an alien planet of everyone's own making etc.

For some reason Ive recently seen old horror movies Tales From The Crypt and Vault Of Horror and I suspect that Ten Candles could fit in with an anthology type rpg where the characters are all facing death or are dead
