I was in UST from '92 to '96 and I experienced a lot of overwhelming events during those years. The 4-peat, women's and junior basketball teams became champions as well, reign of Thomasian beauty queens, World Youth Day, the first time UST Singers won as Choir of the World and the first time Salinggawi Dance Troupe won in the cheering competition. Viva Santo Tomas!!!
iam UST graduate of 86...of all the championships..my most unforgettable was in Game 3 of 1994 vs La Salle..when Bal David sank 2 freethrows with 6 seconds left, then had the scare of my life when Dwight Lago missed a point blank follow up in the closing seconds...UST won that one 77-76...i've been watching basketball for 40 years but up to now that's the best ever...ever and ever...
i had the chance to be a team B/2nd team basketball player for UST from 95-99. We played alongside our 1st team. We've sweat blood during our practices but it was ok because it was for UST. we may not been promoted to team A but we are a part of that championship team..because team A or B, athlete or not..those championships are for all thomasians..for UST!
Oh my gosh! I miss the old days! I miss watching Richard Yee play for the UST Tigers! After all these years, i never stopped liking him, he's one of the very few guys who can make me feel like i have hundreds of butterflies in my stomach with just a thought of him! Type na type ko talaga tong lalakeng to, walang kupas! lol
Yes i remember the old days slumdunk coming from richard yee, cantonjos,espino,belmonte, gerald francisco. Cheering from the community and big supporters like us. I will never 4get da good and angelic girls from UST
i was there 92-96 din so proud to be USTe celebration dito parade doon mayat maya parade hehe but the sweep was really the sweetest of all. I like the varisty jacket at that time yung may tigers head sa likod na sobrang laki hehe sana ibalik nila yun sa USTe.

1993 Season was the sweetest of all the 4peat crowns. Should’ve been the inaugaural year of Final 4 but it was scrapped because of the sweep. Plus the 14th game was against the Adamson Soaring Falcons. Twin tower combo of Marlou Aquino and EJ Feihl plus Kenneth Duremdes.
Bal David wore #11 while on UST (4 ang lowest number that a player can have in UAAP) when he went to Ginebra #11 was already taken by Jayvee Gayoso kaya naging #1 siya..
Kaya pala malakas uste nun, assistant kase si aric (RIP) kay cone sa alaska so he learned a lot of tricks there, including perhaps some of the triangle moves
They beat la salle teams which were probably the best group not to win a championship.... those lasalle teams could have got 3 peat or 4 peat had they did not bumped to that ust team
