Saw them live in Miami last month. They are amazing on stage, and Damiano is the best young frontman out there, their energy drove the crowd, and made for one of the best concerts I’ve been to.

One of the first songs of their's I couldn't get enough of. Love this performance of it as well. This was during lockdowns so there was only a tiny crowd, but they still slayed. Damiano has a malformation in his vocal chords that helps him with the raspiness.
This is my favourite song of Måneskin BUT this in not the most touching song and probably this is not their masterpiece If you haven’t reacted yet to their real masterpiece my friend, which is CORALINE.. then you have to. First listening to the official audio edit with English subtitles, as it is extremely important that you have an idea of what the song is about.. Then second listen to the live version of CORALINE at SanRemo song contest with the the orchestra. There you will have to focus on the beauty of the orchestra contribution and the incredible performance of Damiano who basically was almost to break in tears during the exhibition
Many people who initially don't like Maneskin or aren't that impressed might stumble in one song which change their mind completely - the repertoire of this band is so eclectic they cover every genre (Rock, Punk, Funk, Reggae, Pop and Folk, etc.) they're likely to find a soft spot and reach everyone. I do suggest to try and check other unusual songs from them like "Amandoti", "L'Altra Dimensione", "Moriro' Da Re", "Are You Ready"...
Amandoti is actually not their song, but the live performance at Sanremo with Manuel Agnelli (he was one of the judges at X Factory Italy) is really good. Manuel really took a chance with them and he was more and more impressed with every performance they did, he even commended Ethan for being the most improved as he was not fond of him at the beginning.
In a recent interview - I think it was with CBS - I heard Damiano say that the reason he has a rasp is because he has a hole in his vocal cords. But he practices a lot, and he also watches his diet and health habits, to make sure he doesn't ruin his voice.
@@cookies6455 I'm not a doctor, but I think if the problem was smoking it would be a very big issue, especially since he already sounded like that at 16 and he probably didn't start smoking before he was 15.
