It's what she needed. She didn't like that man. So many of them don't like him. She is doing what's best for her. None of it matters when she is injured.
@@kpat3052 Derron Herah and her ego have caused greater injury to Elaine’s career than that Achilles. That toxic combination is her real Achilles Heel!
@@Pistolwhipperz Maybe. I don't know her. We can all speculate and gossip but the simple truth is, it's her life. She is doing what she thinks is best. From the outside looking in you can say all the things about what you think she should do, but she is a grown woman accountable for herself.
@kandicep3052 Well said. She must know what she can tolerate and what she can't. Sometimes, u have to give up somethings that look good but it makes you uncomfortable and unhappy.
Stop bitchin. I've seen many athletes being carried just like she was here. She did not collapse on the track and could not assist herself. She made it to the finish, self checked, and they did the expedient thing.
How often is a wheel chair needed to transport an athlete off the track?? Elaine Thompson was assisted off the track soon after the injury. And knock off the stupid Only in America hate speech!
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 Sit down and be quiet. So you think that because the athletic meet organizers is from the US they are IMMUNE to criticism. This is is not the first time at meets in the US no stretcher or even a wheelchair was available to assist an injured athlete. In April the same thing happened at the Miramar Invitational-RU-vid: Alana Reid Women’s 100m Finals Shashalee Forbes Injured in Section 2 | Miramar Invitational 2024; Time: 1 ;41 min Look at the men's 100m and the problem some athletes had with the sub-standard starting blocks.
That the worry at present but not a panicky situation about her form the athletics start in August near the end of the diamond league season so she got nearly 2 months, as you said she has to rest in Jamaica for the championship
Paris will have a new olympic champion this year. It's all up for grabs between the top 3 in Budapest last year especially if all of them are healthy this year.
You could just see Elaine's facial expression when she knows she's in good form and when she knows she is not. She didn't have that look of silent confidence. she looked a bit troubled and worried. This is coming close to trials I think she has a very high mountain to climb.
What happen to Elaine..she is my favorite Jamaican sprinter,I'm afraid she not qualify to Paris,I want to c her break world record..I hope she b strong back as ever..☹️
Nice win slow time. Don't get too excited Ofili is not going to medal in the Olympics and Elaine sad to see won't be there. The old guard Jamaican women are in trouble, Shelly is a no show so far and Jackson has been unimpressive. Jamaica had better pin their hopes on Lyston.
@@ig6894 When someone lines up on the track you have to assume they are ready to run. All I am saying is that Ofili isn't going to get a medal in the 100m or 200m at the Olympics. She's a good runner and she'll be there on the Nigerian team, but won't medal, unless some more people get injured.
@@phoebus she will not medal, but Nigeria has a chance in the 4x100 relay. Both Rosie and Ofili have both run 10.8 which is good, Godbless has run 11.04, so Nigeria has a pretty decent relay team.
@@sean-et4wr Yep the Nigeria women can put together a pretty good 4x100 relay ream, that's why I counted Ofili out of a individual medal, but not entirely out of getting a relay medal.
Benin City is in Nigeria. Haven't you heard of the ancient Benin kingdom? It is in present day Nigeria not the country Benin which used to be called Dahomey. So yes Benin, Nigeria is right.
