Im astounded that GameSir haven't gone all in and made an ultimate tier controller. The T4 Kaleid is ny favourite controller of all time and I'm certain they would clean up if they went for a controller with all the top tier features.
Honestly it would be insane if they just recreated it but with a battery and a really hot wireless chip to hit 250hz wireless and consistent, if they did that they would be able to sell it for a decent chunk more and people wouldn't complain because $80 for one of the best wireless controllers possibly ever would be fair for a lot of people, hell the T4k dropped to £35 in the UK amazon store the week after I bought it, insane value
I love and hate that I found your channel. Very informative reviews that are easy to watch, but you have reviewed SO many controllers that now I don’t know wtf I want 😂 I would buy a g7 se if they had trigger stops. Instinct Pro button design seems strange but appealing at the same time, just hard to justify that price point when the Fusion Pro 3 exists.
with the gamesir g7 se, in the software if you go to the triggers section, there’s an option called “hair triggers” and with that setting on, it will act just like trigger stops without the trigger actually stopping. i hope this makes sense😂
@@Dimondzz I know what you mean. That does give a great benefit, but for me personally, I have gotten used to the feeling of the triggers physically stopping at a certain point. The physical stop makes it easier for me to rapidly fire the trigger as well.
Is the G7 SE worth it? i have 2 controllers and both got stick drift and they’re completely unplayable, i usually play FPS games like Rainbow Six Siege and Call of Duty games and now i don’t know what controller to buy, I don’t want to buy a default Xbox Series S/X controller because i want to completely Avoid Stick drift Does the G7 SE have any problems? Like can i use that controller for at least 2 years?
Please gamesir, please put 4, I say again, FOUR buttons on the back. You guys could seriously just take over the controller market or at least force everyone else to stop the other guys charging $200+
@robertellis9750 I completely agree with you they probably could, but let's be real. Will it happen? NOPE. THAT BEING SAID. I would eat my shorts if it happened 😋.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. The Kaleid uses the same microswitches as the Pro - same actuation force and travel distance. They also use the same shell. I guess what the Kaleid has over the Cyclones (for now) is the pretty good PC app, and the ability to overclock it out of the box with that software. Eventually with enough complaining, we may be able to get Gamesir to update the Cyclones to be compatible with their Nexus app too. I don't suppose that all these controllers use very different components in their mainboards for that to be difficult/impossible.
Was about to snag one of the regular G7 wired versions after hearing you say that its about the same price, same core features, but actually better in a few areas. Looking at their website, it looks like they have swapped out the hall effect sticks for alps now. So if you want hall effect, have to go with G7 SE or these Cyclones. OR the T4 Kaleid, which is on sale for $41, which I'm going to buy...
Good news, Fantech made a Dualsense Controller with Hall effect thumbstick, customizable rear button trigger and motion sensor. Too bad not much review on it yet. Fantech Nova WPG14
@@pawes7418Sadly it's quite hard to get in some regions. Or if it's available it has shipping that will have you buy another controller waiting for the Vader to arrive....
I definetly agree that the g7 is super comfortable. It would be great if they made one with more advanced features. Personally I'd love to see top buttons.
G7 & G7 SE still don't have 1000hz (or any) polling option in the app. The t4k does have this option though. I have the G7SE and T4K. I find the G7 SE dpad to be far superior, even though you don't get a positive a click the diagonals are far more consistent. I play a lot of shmups and live or die by those movements. Honestly don't care for the mechanical buttons on the T4K either they have a nice sound but basically no feel at all. The membrane on the G7SE are much more tactile. Also circularity only tests at full lock, these controllers are a little wonky if you try and draw a circle at half way, they did release a patch to help with this but it's till a bit weird. They are damn near perfect a full lock though.
@Jay7ona g7se is great for shmups. The power a enhanced controller has a great dpad as well. I have picked up a few of them for 20$ on sale. For full price the g7se is the winner hand down
fortunaly i've decided buy a t4 kaleid over this one to play at pc since i already have g7 SE that is fenomenal even without 1000hz as t4 kaleid, guess I'll have the best hall controllers by gamesir for while 🙏
I love the t4 Kaleid as well. It's my main for now. I wish we could get 2 extra optional buttons at the back and triggers that don't hurt my hand after hours of Rocket League (The little dots on the plastic).
This makes me so sad these guys have made so many controllers, they have the stuff to make the best controller, but are just incapable of doing it. I just want the g7 with clicky buttons and comfortable grips and a not awful d pad
Great review, I'm going to go with the Kaleid after seeing this one. But a suggestion, can you start including Gyro tests in the reviews? :) Do you have any plans on reviewing the Fantech Nova WGP14?
Love your reviews! Was hoping for a wireless G7 SE. It's awesome but I don't want something wired. And the Vader 3 Pro is soooo ugly. Well... Guess I'll have to wait further. I'd be okay with a standard Xbox controller just with hall sensors.
I'm not a hardcore gamer, and was looking into getting this the EasySMX X10, the GameSir T4 Cyclone Pro or the FlyDigi Direwolf 2. Which would you recommend of the three? I'm not interested in customizing buttons, just want the best controller for the price.
I just came across this controller, and as a huge fan of their T4K (in spite of it being wired), I was psyched. I'm glad I thought I should check what you had to say first, because being wireless seems like the only reason I would get this. (I rarely ever NEED wireless, I just like covering my bases). Every aspect (sans having Hall sticks and triggers) seems worse than the T4K. Until a better double-Hall wireless (mid price) controller comes out, I'll just use my Vader 2 when I want/need to be further from my laptop. That, or somehow find a 10ft+ USB C cable that actually fits in the inset port of the T4K!
Can't some of the bad stuff be fixed with software updates though, the inconsistent wireless readings for example? And one would think they will add support for the Cyclone in the already existing PC app too. I wouldn't return it to the store immediately just for the wireless/software issues reasons at least, it was literally released only a few days ago.
Hello this game pad doesn't work with Xbox. I bought it for my Xbox based on your review. I would appreciate if you made sure before reviewing also I know I should have researched it more myself but yeah.
When is a damn company gonna make a controller that has 1000hz polling rate, Hall effect joysticks, mouse click trigger stops and 4 back paddles that would be the perfect controller for me but nothing has it all in one
Well, the Flydigi Vader 3 Pro has half of the things you mentioned, the exceptions are the polling rate which has 500hz instead of 1000hz and also has back buttons instead of paddles. If you're okay with that then go for that controller, but if not and want one with those exact specs then you gotta wait till the Gulikit KK3 MAX comes out which I estimate is gonna be by next year
Gamesir, can you please include screen, graphic card, cpu, Speakers, AI voice assistant, engine, wheels, thrusters and self destruct button to the controller.
just got non pro, love it. i have bigger hands and the bottom "sharper edge" on the handles i find actually really comfortable. Also to anyone thinking of buying one and needing to configure it with their phone, the app isnt on the play store any more for some reason. my only gripe is i wish it had the anti friction rings.
Hey bro, please give me recommendation gamepad for racing games. I need that heavy triggers so i can take full control over the gas and brake, and of course no deadzone. Cuz nobody talks about the amount of resistance/pressure in triggers🙏
I am a top 100 driver in forza motorsport and I tend to lean toward the xbox elite v2 with the tall left stick as well, its a very heavy and smooth controller however the sticks are not hall effect, that is the only draw back. if you are on PC and want to take racing seriously, you might consider a cammus c5 DD wheel, with a cammus desk clamp, and Fanatec CSL Elite V2 Pedals( a cheap fanatec bundle with these pedals is also ok if u have budget, and a next level racing gt lite pro for a frame. this is the cheapest way to get into racing seriously with a controller or a wheel. @@aymansofyan7327
Love your videos. I dont know if its just me but current mic settings make your lip smacking noises pretty loud. In comparison to your intro segment where you say "Mm you dont like back paddles? how about theb rear buttons?" which sounds more natural and easier to listen to."just my feedback, keep up the great work.
Can you do Nacon Revolution Pro 5 (PS5 & PC controller) who has the most strangest d-pad i ever seen (it was designed by a pro street fighter player which I'm very sceptical that will make you do "Hadoken" much easier)😅. Always like the Xbox layout of the sticks that PS layout sticks, plus much bigger buttons. Thank you kindly, as always great reviews 10/10 for me without sugar coating the "good & bad"
Turns out I have medium size hands, because for the first week or more of the G7 was totally bothering me with cramping 💫 Otherwise, it is a Great Controller I was just shocked that you can’t actually change the range on the triggers with locks You get what you pay for with Gamesir
sent mine back... its trash.. would only connect wireless like 2 ft away.. i was sitting 5 ft away and it kept dropping signal... used the wire and there was a noticeable lag for movement.. it feels cheap too.. dont waste your time
Almost gonna impulse buy, thanks for your review, I'll stick with my g7, and wait for a wireless g7nor something , ill stick with my 8bido ultimate for wireless.
There is a white version of the Pro. I just got mine from amazon. This controller seems identical T4 Kaleid, which I also own. The only thing I didn't really like about the Kaleid was the cosmetics and RGB. I love the white/grey on the Pro. This is now my favorite gamepad.
By chance, do you know the dimensions of your tower? Some of those PC cases are pretty sick, if and when price doesn't matter haha. (Could've built a new rig if it wasn't for all these new gamepads coming out...)
ya gotta review the nacon revolution 5 pro when you can get your hands on it (officialy licensed ps5 controller with hall effect sticks/triggers) mine just shipped
Controllers with the ABXY text printed on the outside of the face buttons are cringe. Text will wear off quickly. The best controllers have the text UNDERNEATH the plastic, like inside the buttons, so it will never wear off.
I have the G7 SE and I like it, but it actually makes my right hand cramp. Maybe the cyclone would be better for me, if it's closer to stock xbox one shape/size
As you're in gamepad tester and it says Xbox controller, is that because the controller is in xinput mode or is it from some third party application? If it's because of xinput, does that mean it'll work for things like Xbox cloud streaming on the computer?
Loving it so far over here! Feels like the natural (cheaper) replacement for my Razer Wolverine v2 Chroma. Similar shape, similar design using the top buttons. I'm pleasantly surprised for the price. Hopefully we'll see the expert give his take soon!
The converter actually didn’t work for me. Tried to use my PS5 scuf on my xbox series x and when I ads in cod the right stick sensitivity was WILD and I could not aim, even worse than normal. 😂
Please compare gamesir t4 cyclone pro with easysmx 9124 pro. Thanks. They both look very similar and both have Hall effect trigger and Hall effect sticks and micro switch buttons. Do yeah, they seem to be veeery similar.
0.7% error damn never seen something like that Hypr controller are far from that. If they add trigger stop and a real Dpad for like 80€ ? this could be a market breaker
It should also be mentioned that the mapped button is not separate from the reference button. If I set the turbo on the reference button, it also takes over for the mapped one. This is, in my opinion, unsightly, and limits the possibilities of use. That wasn't the case with the T4 pro. I don't understand why some manufacturers implement mapping like this. I've already tested some controllers with this behavior. Only those where you can also set the turbo to the macro key in the combo can do a workaround. For the others, the limitation remains. For example, I don't test such controllers anymore. There are better things on the market with more flexibility
5:36 I have a Gamesir G4s and you can store the dongle in the controller itself, same thing for my wireless mouse. I would like all controllers that have dongles to have this feature. It's just smart
trying to get this thing into x-input mode for wired pc is a job. has anyone figured out how to do this? red blue green idk whats going on with the controller but its buggin a bit
Game sir please listen to the comments …. 4 back buttons and rubber texture on the controller trigger stoppers welcome but not necessary keep friction rings pretty please
Im broke as hell (got laid off last month) but once i get back on my feet im definitely going to grab one of these gamesir controllers. I need a controller for Xbox as my kids beat the hell out of the previous one haha and for $40 I dont see how these controllers can be beat
So what I'm personally looking for is a wireless controller with ABXY buttons, thumbsticks and analog triggers that will last longer than the avg Xbox controller. I don't have any consoles, only really use it for racing games on PC. So I really don't care for compatibility nor do I care much about driver customization. I've seen the reviews of these as well as those Flydigi ones but not sure what would be best for my specific case.
Same bro, im just focus playin AC, Carx, and other racing games so i want some heavy resistance triggers for the best control over my gas and brake, zero deadzone on trigger, and lastly the perfect circularity error for accurate corner. In case that you already purchased some gamepad, please let me know what's best for racing games🥂
