What makes me so mad is that Harden is genuinely one of the 5 best shooting guards to ever touch a basketball, but he insists on playing like a bitch instead of just playing the game of basketball. And the way people talk about it like it’s something to be praised but it’s just gross.
It is so disappointing to watch these supposed to be new super stars doing these atrocities. Thats why most people believe that this basketball era is too soft and these new generation is capitalizing these changes by flopping alot. Back when Lebron get foul calls, defenders used to wrap around him just to make sure the foul doesn’t lead to an And1. He looks to score before the foul. Harden and CP3 looks for the foul without actual intention to shoot. Especially harden, many times, they are phantom fouls, no contact whatsoever and the no call travels too. Watching him play is just annoying. I am glad they are ringless, it is the basketball gods saying nope. I hope someone like Metta comes back and knock him out again, so that he wouldn’t dare to flop anymore.

Power is generated from the ground up, your legs naturally sway forward for balance. 90% of Harden's jumpshots are natural movements, the 10% being when he tries to karate kick his defender mid air (which is an offensive foul). Before anyone tries to correct me on the leg sway, try walking without moving your legs forward for balance.

The leg sway on jumpshots are for balance, since all players (except Blake Griffin) move forward on their jumpshots. Their momentum is going forward, their legs naturally sway forward for balance.

That is offensive foul, thae referee should call the foul against Harden because he is the one initiating the foul. If harden is fading away a shot that is flopping. No player will shoot in forward motion its always on left or right or away going backwards, that is to protect the ball from getting block by the defender. Harden's fall is always a flop because the verticality of the shooter starts from his hip. Harden step back shot and falls down in inclined position with both feet hitting towards the blocker that is a flop. If he lands in vertical position that 's defender foul because you hit the feet and the body.
Have you been watching the NBA this season?😂 That's the rule now. The offensive player can't initiate contact like that anymore that's why there has been less fouls this year. That's one of the main reasons Harden started off terrible this year (along with him being out of shape)

NBA changed the rule but they didn't anticipate that most of their stars like Harden, Booker, Paul, Luka, Trae can't seem to generate a score and realized that it's their loss punishing these players so they went back rewarding foul baiting again.

It's the same as simulation in football/soccer where players dive and scream in pain to get a free kick or penalty. It's not smart basketball it's cheating. The officials need to start earning their money. Do their jobs properly. Not have it handed to them easily.
Although you may hate it, it’s a smart tactic to get the free throw and win points and I’m pretty sure he will do ANYTHING to get points or win the game. Also he has skills plus this tactic he will easily become one of the greatest scorers of all time and shooting guards
The sidestep foul -- shows the defenders moving into him. It's just better offense. Reggie Miller kicks with his legs whenever he went for a shot. This Harden move is genius at the same time, takes a lot of skill. He's got to be given credit for this rather than "try to take it away."
