Hey, So as someone who has never even attempted to make their own video, so I am by no means an expert, but I find this video very interesting that I wanted to comment to hopefully help you improve. I can see that you are a very small channel, less than 500 subs and this video has only 113 views after a day. But the quality of camerawork seems really good (as I said, I am not an expert). And so it sold the channel as a 'diamond in the rough'. A high quality channel that hadn't been picked up yet. But after watching a few mins of the video, I have to say I lost attention very quickly, and if your channel hadn't been so small and thus left me with a 'If you watch it then you can claim you were there at the beggining' vibes, I would have just clicked away. So I am going to state some random nonsense that I think could improve your video, but I will repeat for a third time, I have no expertise in this field. 1) With the internet and content creation, everybody is fighting for the audiences attention. You need to grab the attention ASAP. You know that the watcher has clicked on the video with the title ' the problem with gamification in design' and so that's what you need to hook them with. Start talking immidently and talk about something that the audience can relate to the title. It doesn't need to start on an explanation of gamification, but jsut something to give a sense of immidient gratification to the question. You can keep the 'doom scrolling' section as the start, but start talking about it sooner rather than setting up the scene. 2) This is a 'explaining' video but the intro is shot like its a short film. I think your work actually works against the video as the scene seems to be made to make the audience feel connected to the character, but they don't care, they want to know what the problem with gamification is and not about some guy doom scrolling. 3) Add more emotion into your voice. Like the audio feels dull and makes me feel uninterested to what you are saying. You don't need to be hyper or anything, just sound like you are genuinly interested in what you are saying rather. 4) Change the music, it seems too jaring and the contrast to the loud, upbeat music and your low dull tone highlights the lack of interest in your voice. 5) Try to not have as much glances away from the camera. As someone who personally struggles with controlling where they look, I understand that this can be hard but remember editing is your friend. Film in shorter bursts or have more sections with background video with your audio on top instead of you directly talking. In summary, there is more to a video than the physical qualities of its looks and the topic of the video. I think that you clearly have talent in many areas but you are also lacking in your presentation.
