I remember being treated like an alien because we had a N64 at Home and nobody knew what was it.. I can't believe that you didn't talk about driver, one of the most influential games in the region.. or maybe you guys are saving it for a specific episode :D
We wanted to make the PS1 games we mentioned consist of games that one would almost 100% find in a household with PS1, though Driver was indeed somewhat famous here and there, we felt it wasn't a big contributing factor to the success of the PS1 as the mentioned games. Sorry it wasn't on the list. The poor bastard Abed owned a Game Cube and was treated the same way as you too, he now sits in a corner raving about how he will never play a Paper Mario series as good as The Thousand Year Door.
After hearing news of Saudi Arabia owning 5% of nintendo's stocks it was interesting to watch a video of what it was like being a gamer in saudi arabia, rather than me just thinking i've got it all good here in the UK n rest of the west. Gonna have to look up more history for gaming culture in Saudi Arabia. Keep on gaming fellas
Good job guys, your English is very good, and you explained the history of games in Saudi Arabia in an excellent way, and another thing Abed your voice is so hot😂
I wish Saudi had some retro stores Nowadays I want to collect the PS2 and GameCube consoles And it’s fucking hard here The only option now is to go online Hopefully in the future We saudis can have a retro store Retro gamers can have what they want
cool video but try to lower the sound of the background music, some times i can't hear anything (the n64 section) and even the narrator lowered his voice. also you forgot about Pokemon and Gameboy colors influence in Saudi Arabia.
Thank you for your support. Also, we think that the Gameboy color did not affect the community greatly. Only the ones who had the original Gameboy, which were pretty few, knew and cared about the Gameboy color when it came out, and sadly the Gameboy Color remained to be a niche in the community.
love the video great and easy to understand English good job guys and yeah thats is the way that i got into gaming i played all the games in the video but dont really remember any of the gameplay
MSX, anyone? GameGear, maybe? Those were mainly my childhood, back in the mid 80s. Flicky was probably one of the first games I played, and it started a lifelong addiction that goes on until this day. Great job with the video, guys!
We didn't feel that emulators affected or shaped the community into its current state, due to them being pretty recent, and nothing specific stood out in the Saudi community more than other communities, like Pepsi Man for example.
