Xbox series S is the way to go lol 300 bucks as everyone might already got a tv or monitor. Xbox series s can push 60fps on any modern game and 60fps is smooth enough
Are yall dum? So do pc without power supply re1ard. You need power supply duh. The temperature won't reach 90 with the fans. Mine never does. The only disadvantage is the sound which i can cancel by using headphones
Actually no, I had an HP OMEN and I forgot to plug it in, and I was playing watch dogs mad settings and it playing smooth 72 fps and lasted for like 3 hours
I like laptop because im actually able tk get comfortable with them virtually anywhere and not have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a huge pc when a gaming laptop with the same specs from walmart is $2000
@@rampoatchess2758 I want a laptop with at least Ryzen 6000 or a good Intel 12th Gen, RTX 3060 or better, 1TB, and 16GBDDR5 and I can’t find that in a Legion (from Lenovo directly at least) for less than $2000 Canadian Dollars
I would choose gaming laptops any day of the week . I used to be all about building gaming desktops... Back then gaming laptops were bad - big, bulky and loud . These days it's a different story - gaming laptops are now brilliant . Light, sleek and powerful . You can hook them up to a monitor or TV if you want just like a desktop but you also have the added portability which is a massive bonus.
5k with weak sound, heating problems, battery last 3 hours while browsing, fans too loud. 2.8k - 3k you can buy M2 Max 14 inch, no heating problems, fans does not spin, best sound, battery last 15 hours while browsing.
I don't want to assume the worst, but if Razer sent him this to softly promote it in this short, it's definitely paid off because he ended up making a terrible video in regards to objectively answering 'should you get a gaming laptop?
I especially love it when I have to do a project on Autodesk and go " allright time to go to the lab and get it done on the lab computers" and when I'm home I'll go "time for some gaming, booting the desktop up".
@@yo5535what is it with everyone starting sentences off with “fr” these days? Baffles me why everyone starts copying each other online. Why you all so desperate to fit in? I literally see it every youtube video now. Kids are so weird.
@@NutsUhh not what the video implied tho. He's like this laptop has a 4080 which is better than my custom pc. //this statement makes absolutely no sense since a 4080 is only 1/4 of that laptop's price and they're readily available// Only way it makes sense is that he's flexing about getting a Razer laptop for free through a sponsorship
@@thegeeks16 huh? i didnt say anything about fps, i was on about saving more money if i get a desktop. maybe you need to read my comment again. i was simply answering his question in the video.
Not really why tf would you need a 4080 on a laptop it would literally perform like a desktop 4060ti, on battery it runs like a 750ti. If you just want to max out your performance just buy a pc with that price you can already afford a 4090 setup
Rule nr.1 in Gaming Laptops: Mobile graphics cards are not nearly as powerful as their desktop versions. A Laptop 4080 is probably more like a desktop 4060ti

If i remember correctly razor blade is one of the few gaming laptops that's notorious for having a really good cooling system (it's not better than a normal PC but it should never overheat either). The real problem is the price, I think this specific model is like 4000$

Big question Dino as I don’t know. Do I still get max xp for winning a game in Squad Battles or do I need to score the 5 goals and get the 20 shots on net?
Yep, my laptop from 2012 heats up room by 2-3°C after 3-4 hours of gaming, and that thing has gt650m with i7 3630qm both of which draw up to 45w each, so I would imagine that a proper gaming laptop will be powerful enough to replace an actual heater
@@gray_gogy well, hardware usually is designed to run with temps up to 95-100°C, so I guess high temperature doesn't affect the hardware that much as long as it's under control, if temps go up beyond the safe zone PC will just turn itself off, at least on somewhat modern hardware from early-mid 2000 and newer, on earlier components I believe were some cases of GPUs destroying itself because of overheating

Personally speaking I don't really have space for a pc so laptop is the way to go. But NOT $4000 gaming laptop. I have a Vivobook Pro 15 and it has a solid aio and build quality. Pretty quiet as well under load. Mind you, this is not sponsored; this is personal review of it. The only "flaw" it has is the imbalanced hardware. 11900h paired with an rtx 3050 vanilla. This is around $1200 or lower used. There is also an i7 3050 ti option at $1000.

I woudnt want gaming laptop that thin, would be hot as hell no matter what fans it has inside.. 4000 series in laptops are great, i have 4060 in a laptop but compared to their desktop versions there is no comparison. Performance difference is huge!

Had a solid 3070 pc rig i played warzone on, then i played on my brothers 2060 laptop and it wasnt much of a downgrade. Like maybe 10-20 fps less at most
I only have the laptop that my company provides me and for gaming use my 2013 CPU overclocked and a RTX 2060 Super. I don't have more money than that to spend in gaming 😂
Nah 4080 laptop performs around a 3080 ti desktop. 4090 laptop performs like 3090 ti desktop. It's not bad at all considering size and portability the problem is just the price.
@@demon5965 yeah thing is, there are different 30 and 40 series mobile gpus. They all have different wattages. That razer laptop could have 80 frames while a lenovo could have 150 while both having a "4080". And it isnt even well marketed that you could have that big a difference.
>Buys a gaming laptop >Connected 24/7 to the cable because if you dont have it connected it dies quickly and does not use 100% of its power >not anymore a laptop >explodes from heat
Nowdays high end gaming laptops have an okay battery life because they can switch between integrated and deticated graphics cards, no more two hour battery life while web surfing...
You don’t even have to pay that to build a solid PC that will be far more worth the money plus desktops are easier to do maintenance on if you’re inexperienced.
But you are gonna need an expensive monitor to go with those specs plus a gaming mouse speakers keyboard Table gaming chair And you can't take it anywhere
Let me guess young otaku, you require a suitable PC for watching anime at 4k? Fear not, as someone who's been playing on a 4k monitor with an RTX 3060 TI, I can confirm that I can run all my games max, including RDR2 and Wii Sports Resort (Because I'm a Giga Chad) Also I'm 6'2 (188cm) tall, so I'm allowed to watch anime without being called a weeb, because I push cars and drink 8 glasses of water a day to stay hydrated (I don't drink soda and I drink my coffee black), So with my long dark brown black hair and my stubble and my deep voice, I continue to be one of the few anime watchers with a waifu who can without being judged, because I want to. Otacon from MGS1 watches anime, so if anyone disagrees with my taste, I will step on you with my size 13uk boots, because we all know betas don't watch anime because they're too scared to be judged, but in reality, I'm not afraid of being judged, I may not have a 6 pack, but you can't tell these 2 pecs that I'm a weeb, anime is cool, so watch it or have me give you free therapy on discord

Laptops: 1.You cant upgrade it 2.Laptop very loud like a vacuum machine 3.Cooling sck 4.Cut version GPU 5.For such money u can make good desktop pc (laptops expensive)
Don’t forget if something goes wrong the amount of money you have to throw up and also the headache you get from customer support especially coming from razer. Trust I would know 🤦🏽♂️
I agree, but if you travel a lot and you don't have much time to stay at home and play on a pc, the laptop its the right choice. If you have time to stay home and you don't travel that often, then get a pc, its that simple
It's crazy how eGPU rigs are still not mainstream. I imagine most people are not playing heavy games or exporting 4k videos while traveling (e.g. when not at home or at work) The best of both worlds would be a single lightweight laptop with good cpu and ram, good cooling, an ok screen and ok keyboard, and a couple thunderbolt ports, and the rest would be separate. On your main workstation you can have a dedicated setup that best fits your needs: keyboard, mouse, monitor and eGPU. And when you gotta travel, just unplug the dock and you got your computer with all your files configs and whatnot, only missing a powerful GPU And for the rare case that you actually need a powerful GPU on the road, there could still be laptops with 4090s, but i still think that 240hz 1ms displays and mechanical keyboards with RGB are kinda overkill for a laptop
You can upgrade laptops. They are more quiet than PCs. Cooling is alright. Not a cut version of GPU. It just have less power. It uses same components. Laptops are not expensive they are cheaper than PCs because laptops are all in one. When you add costs of peripherals laptops have they are cheaper and they are portable.
Wait till it sounds like it's a jet about to take off and throttles in productivity, these things are only good for gaming and even then they heat up too much, laptops like the xmg neo 15/euloktronics laptop with water cooling are the future
Can build a super PC with that amount which will be far better, customizable, and upgradable. Gaming laptops are for residential college kids who like to game together, or for fools and rich people who dont care
And forgot the part where it’s barely portable because unplugging it for more than 5 minutes will drain the battery and it’ll be loud as a motherfucker so you cant take it in public anywhere without it sounding like you’re ready to takeoff
Laptops are not the play over desktops when it comes to gaming. They're more expensive, less upgradeable, get way hotter, and slow down significantly after only a couple years of running them. Buy a desktop if you're gaming.
@大脑 Laptops are better if you need to bring them around often. But if you know that you don't need to bring your computer around very often, a pc tower is a much better choice
SOMETIMES there are good deals over getting a desktop, such as the one I have rn. It has a Ryzen 5 5500 (or something), 12 gb ram, 500 gb ssd, and a gtx 1650 and I got it for $550.
Never buy gaming laptops, they’re a lot worse than a desktop: -They overheat; -Their battery is literally useless because you’ll need to always have it plugged in to get performance. -They are hard to upgrade; -They break faster than a PC and fixing them is difficult; -Most of them are quite expensive.
They would buy it anyway, because it's fashionable. I, literally, explained to relatives 3 times to better buy a pc, instead of a laptop 💻. They bought laptop.
@@randommcplayer625 they dont cost less lol, and as they shouldnt, you arent just paying for the hardware you're paying for the screen and integrated accessories. And at this point if you just want a laptop for the portability, just get a steam deck, the battery is better than most laptops, the price is literally unmatched, and can still be used as a desktop.
im actually using that laptop. you forgot to tell how you need to buy an additional industrial level cooler. also atleast tell the viewers that i had to sell one of my kidneys to buy that thing. 10/10 worth it, best fire place ive bought in a while.
Laptops have the GPU limited to a specific TDP , so for example instead of drawing 350w it draws much less watts , unlike the PC 4080. Its called a 4080 but it won't perform like a PC 4080 cause this is a "laptop version" of the GPU. Same thing goes with the processor so be careful when purchasing and choose wisely.
As a razer laptop owner i can say thay you will be dissapointed in how actually short livespend of this brand notebooks is. Keyboard keys are falling out, battery life is short, battery itself can inflate, heatsink degradation, and of cource this thing is hot as f from both sides. Also razer tend to install low quality of monitor flex cable - it literally can break in half after the usual lid opening.
Models like this will be relevant for 8 years, unless the keyboard or display breaks during heavy gaming, lol. So better to buy external keyboard. I mean remember 1080 TI gpu. I had it with i7 7820x , used it for a work and played games at max settings until it died this spring. No way such a model won't last for 5 years at least.
@@MrReaxxionAction Most gaming laptops have dogshit thermals and a considerable failure rate as a result. It'll *probably* last 5 years, but it's definitely not a guarantee that it will
man is forgetting that mobile GPUs don't live up to their names, a mobile 4080 boosts 15% slower than a desktop 4070Ti, and will always be thermal throttling the CPU's boost frequency I've gone through enough gaming laptops to know that
@@Dwaxxx yes a laptop GPU is usually referred to as mobile GPU since there is a difference in performance to it's pc counterpart and since it's mobile compared to PC which is meant to be stationary Compare the mobile rtx 3080 to the rtx 3080 and on average the desktop rtx 3080 is about 45-50% faster while still sharing the same name on top of that the laptop CPU and GPU are bound to thermal throttle sooner or later
@@Dwaxxx yep, laptop gpus are usually lower in Performance than desktop counterparts, roughly similar to laptop CPUs as as well.
