The hardware also isn't cheap, it is just not made for gaming, that is like comparing a $100 drone to a $1000 Gold bar. A gold bar can't fly but it can sure be used for other things. I changed in about 2010 to using a Mac Pro from Windows for use with Logic Pro & Final Cut Pro professionally. These days I wish to upgrade to a Macbook Pro but I'm currently in disagreement with paying so much for this shit... Back in the day, Apple took control and stole quite the market. I think if they continue with this crap, Windows will start having the upperhand again on the professional market with their upgrades... It's sad to see...

1) What you're comparing is a laptop vs a pc, not really fair. 2) OSX is still more stable and things are better optimized especially video editing, there is a reason why it's the standard within some type of work. 3) OSX has far less viruses, therefore far less getting infected. 4) Comparing a laptop vs a MacBook, same price, and screen (count in ssd speed too), you'll get better specs in the laptop. But once you start working with video editing, they speed switches. I own a 2,4k Windows laptop and a 3k MacBook retina - my main use is still the MacBook. This does not mean MacBook aren't overpriced, because they are. Same goes for something like Samsung phones and iPhones. You're paying for somethings "exclusive" which is basically shitware you'll never use

If it were ultra powerful it would be something along the lines of a Asus ROG, and it would actually be able to run these games (not gonna lie this is pretty bad performance for a 4300$ laptop) and if it were ultra thin, it would just be a nice and thin laptop like a netbook or "ultralight"
