Completely draining the battery of the new iPhone 15 Pro with heavy gaming! This Week's Song: Sign Me Up - Post Malone My Social Media: Twitter: / ammarajjoub Instagram: / ammarajjoub Facebook: / ammarajjoubyoutube dfsdkvhweofiywnos
@@oussamagharbi5419that’s kinda misleading, any use of any battery will degrade it. even non use of a battery, it will still degrade. (obviously the rates will vary)
Ngl, 4-hour active high-end mobile gaming is just acceptable for me and worth going for a Pro instead of Pro Max. I mean, it's already a small and ergonomic phone and gives a performance like that. Probably it would give double the amount of social media and surfing screen time and of course, 2 months later it'll be 15 percent better at least with major updates.
Tho it didn’t lag at all. What more if those apps are not yet updated to be optimized to the new iOS and the new chip. That would be even more great! 😁
The brightness of the phone is all the way up. Isn’t full brightness contributes a lot of battery draining? I always keep mine in Auto Brightness. I don’t like moving the slider manually. My OCness can’t stand it.
Just a lil note.....dont have Bluetooth & GPS on as those will impact the phones battery. If you were playing without a controller the battery would have lasted longer.
I thought about that, too! But I think his hands on the Iphone would also help heat up even more, which would definitely drain more battery and dim the brightness sooner to try and save battery. I've seen some other tests where the Iphone starts lagging insanely because of superheating while playing games. So I think the controller here might actually be a lesser evil compared to the alternative
Why does iPhone not include the pause USB Power Deliver option, which will get battery directly from charger connected to the wall and not heat up the battery? It is such a shame that such a good phone but we can only use it for 20 minutes and shut it off because its hot.
I was thinking the same thing, in this price range Apple shoud do it to I just dont get it how they didnt instal that, while that also giving the Samsung huge advantage in gaming!
I subscribed for a video request on battery health once every 3 months. Since iphone 14 battery health has become a hot topic because its not lasting as long as iphones used to and 3nm chip seem like a gimmick and not as power efficient as expected. So hope you'll do a few more battery drain tests again to update how it fares to the competition.
Each day i play 4 games for around 3 hours and o've noticed a bigger drop the day i got the 15 PM compared to the 14 PM but now with IOS 17.0.3 and 17.1 beta, it's the opposite, today i am at 3hours of gaming in total and gaming ate 25% of my battery including MH now the new pokemon go for monster hunter, so i guess you should make a new test with updated IOS 17 , the results will be far better and no hot at all .. less than the 14 PM for me ...
if you guys are having major battery drain, try turning off the crash detection and see how it works for you, i did it and saw a big decrease in battery drain
Considering it was the 15 Pro and not the Pro max, battery is a lot smaller. 4 hours is technically impressive for me. I have played genshin impact for over 6 hours straight on my 15 pro max before it died. Just one thing to note is that I had a cooler fan attached to the back of it. Anyways, great video and I hope others got the gist of what you're doing and not just throw shades cos they prefer android phones. I also use a galaxy s23 ultra and although it doesn't get quite as hot as the 15 Pro series, it doesn't last as long. And somewhere in the comments you mentioned about upgrading phones every 4 to 5 years and I totally agree. Coming from the galaxy S10 plus, 2023 flagship phones are miles ahead
You can't compare genshin in ios vs android because just look at the allowed fps already tells you that genshin is heavily optimized for ios that they lock 120hz on android 😂
@@Limerlinloland the opposite for Asphalt 9. They compare them like as if both have same optimisation and brag about that iPhone used more power and started throttling. Hypocrisy at its finest.
I had an X, upgraded to 15 pro through preorder. At the moment the battery life is crazy good for me, usually when I should have around 2% on my X, I’d have somewhere near 40-50% on the 15 pro. In terms of the 7, yeah it’s a no brainer. Go upgrade it
hm heard tht heating issue get worst with ip15series, another year to skip i guess, am rocking ip12pm, playing genshin on it at medium graphic is the best, heating issue aint the worst but it s there for sure
I can relate. I play the game with 30fps and I have a 12m. I play with high and medium graphics/custom. 60fps heats my phone. But it’s smooth with 30fps
You won t get the normal one for gaming in the first place. Whoever buys a Iphone 15 for gaming it will eighter choose btw 15 plus or 15 pro max. I really don't understand the advantages of A17 because there is nothing that makes up for the battery usage, real performance for daily users other than some larger numbers on paper.
Really good Vid, I also bought the 15 pro and one thing I have noticed is apps don’t fit the screen properly, some parts of the game or app is not fitting into the screen Can u pls let me know if ur facing this issue ?
one question: does base iphone 15 have 60fps in games like lets take example of brawl stars. that game is made for 120fps and with 60fps its so weird to play bit i wonder how it works on iphone
tips for downloading genshin on iphone, don't leave the screen on.. it will overheat the phone, genshin supports background download which is really helpful. I usually prefer just lock the screen and occasionally checking on the progress.
They really should start thinking about how to cool these phones as they really take a hit in performance when hot Plus I live in Dubai, so it is always hot in here which makes using a phone outside is very difficult
When you're running a battery test for gaming, you can just let the game run. Most 3D games will stress the system with rendering tasks even if you're not actively playing. I'm eager to see how the iPhone 15 Pro stacks up against older iPhone models and the Galaxy, especially when playing demanding games like Genshin Impact. Considering the Galaxy struggles to hit 60fps at its max settings, it might be more fair to test it at a capped 30fps. This way, we're ensuring the processors are being compared under similar workloads.
That's not true. Algorithms are available to detect temporal and spatial changes to avoid rendering redundant stuff. This is why you run benchmark suites specifically designed to tax your GPU to its limit instead of turn on some random game and go afk.
I switched from my iPhone 13 that I had since launch and it got me a good 7-8 hours every single day and still had 30 percent left. Now with my iPhone 15 pro I only get about 5-6 hours and it’s practically dead. I understand that the pros have pro motion, a higher peak brightness and a more powerful chipset but my iPhone 13 only has 85% max capacity left so there should not be this much of a difference. Now I’m contemplating switching back to the iPhone 13.
I am currently using the 13 pro max, I've had it for 2 years and the battery is still a beast, and performance is still top notch, I see no reason to upgrade, iphone 15 is very impressive but I think it still needs refinements
The games you are playing in today's iPhone 15pro giving you 60 fps I'm using one plus 7T 2019 version I get same performance in every game 60 fps with ultra graphics
After using the iPhone to charge the PS5 controller while playing Wow! It drains the battery faster lol like I wouldn’t know that. Would you know that? 😂🤣
@@DARlNDLEREven so for a brand new phone to last 4 hours gaming that’s shit I have a iPhone 11 nothing wrong with it tbh but the 15 pro is bad seen bad reviews everywhere which is annoying coz I have to get pro max now and I hate big phones
Nice review overall, but your facing heat issues because you dint give a chance for the phone to cool down after the genshin update which heats a lot. Should download all the games before hand before you test them out to be more accurate
@@smartphonefan5226 On top of no cooling solution, the PCB design is really weird on Apple phones since they started using dual layers "sandwich" PCBs. They put the SoC inside, between to the two soldered boards, basically trapping the SoC, and trapping the heat inside the motherboard...
ps remote play streams the gameplay from a server that runs the game for you so the phone doesn’t have to process the game, it won’t get hot or have to do barely any work so it should last about twice as long
My 15 pro max is not hot but it is draining battery faster than 15 pro max. Btw i always use the phone with max brightness. 14 pro max last wayyyyy longer than 15 pro max
A15 in your 13 pro max is a very power efficient chipset, A17 pro is not. Earlier samples of A17 pro showed very little performance improvement over A16, So they overclocked it to show in benchmarks.
I don’t think Apple cares about the thermal issues enough to clock down the CPU, but if it got to a point where phone might explode, it is then when they will interfere
It already exists thermal throttling. iPhone 15 does this from 5 mins into gaming heavy, so you loose 40-60% power. Apple is going to need to optimise the design and implement vapour chamber cooling like Samsung has in their S range, like the S23.
The thermals are a bit hotter than previous iPhones by like 1-2°C but because of the thin titanium it feels hotter, steel expels heat faster than titanium and titanium doesn't dissipate heat easily
This is so weird. Back then iPhones would not only be super laggy with games but also bad battery. The battery situation has stayed the same but the quality is amazing. wtf?
more powerful processor helped with the lag issue but makes the battery issue even worse considering phones stay incredibly thin - not sure what is confusing about that
@@weston407 I guess. What I thought was confusing is how they improved their chips so much but didn’t think think about touching the batteries to be on par with the chips
Both are great options If you care about the bigger battery and screen then go with the 14 pro max If you want the latest and greatest then go with 15 pro 👌🏻
