Actually, Gamma Ray was born from Helloween. Kai Hansen left Helloween and started Gamma Ray with the Now vocalist of Primal Fear- Ralf Scheepers. So was Helloween- Gamma Ray- Primal Fear. And also other bands born from Helloween: Master plan (helloween ex guitarist), Kiske (helloween ex vocalist), Freedom call (helloween guitarist).

You wanna hear the inventors of power metal? Listen to another song of Helloween - Ride The Sky (lyrics or audio).🤘🏻 It's from their first album and it has the same singer as Gamma Ray.😋

GAMMAGAMMAGAMMARAY!!! Absolute legends of German Powermetal! Dirk (the bass player) fascinated me, too when I saw them live :) You should try watching their songs "Anywhere in the Galaxy" and "Armageddon"! This gig was pretty epic btw! It has good recording quality as it was a TV broadcast. There are 2 more stages to the left and right of the crowd. Gamma Ray headlined that night and had the center stage. The other 2 Bands were Crucified Barbara (awesome all female hardrock band from Sweden) and Bullet (another very good Swedish Hardrock band). Crucified Barbara and Bullet actually did a cover of Motorhead's "Killed by Death" together that day playing from 2 stages opposite each other and both bands joined Gamma Ray on stage for the last song of the night. Pretty damn epic!

I couldn't view the video quick enough!! Excellent reaction!! I would recommend you watch the live performance of "Induction/ Dethrone Tyranny" from the same location. The other song I would recommend is "Somewhere Out in Space". That is a high-energy almost Thrash-sounding song. Enjoy!!

Well you guys looked really happy and into it! Can't fake that open-mouthed immersion. :D And I was really happy as well. I had not listened to this song for quite some time, so I got to experience it like new - and what a majesty it is! Now I think I'll need to go on an (overdue) GAMMA RAY binge again, thx for that! \m/ Also to note, the Berlin show was new to me, and thoroughly enjoyable - the band in its modern iteration sound really great, and I surprised myself actually liking the lower vocal delivery by Kai Hansen... One of the most iconic voices in his heyday (with just a little unruly roughness, as if driving on two wheels but never veering off course, while flushing all in his way with those immense screams... boy ws he hot!). Currently the man does not go for those banshee-heights anymore, but he found a comfortable range to explore just below, and it makes for an interesting fresh take on the often played classics. Thumbs up from me, a fan who around 2010 had worried that voice was already "shot". The band made soo many hits over the past 30 years, you could go a month basically reacting to da RRAYS alone. But since you seem to enjoy being hauled on a journey (and longer songs usually are more satisfying for patreon saints :)), the classic barn-burner cut "Armaggedon" is a must-hear. Maybe you did it sometime earlier, but if not - treat yourselves! I believe there would be support for pushing that song up on your list. Well, enjoy! \m/
