I had been using Tornado V3 Standard, and actually loved it, Recently it got stolen, and now I ordered Flagship version! Hopefully it'll be better than the standard
I found that when I got the GAN 13 I averaged 2 to 3 seconds slower than on my tornado v3. I really wanted this cube to be my main because to me it feels awesome super smooth and crunchy. (For reference I average sub 12). I decided to just put my tornado down all together for a week to see if I could get used to the gan 13. By the end of the 4th day I was starting to get the hang of the cube and I could now get really close to my average times. At the time I was deciding between 2 for the tension and 5 for the elasticity and 2 for the tension and 4 for the elasticity. I knew my setup wasn’t perfect and I was getting a lot of unusual catches that I don’t get on other cubes. So I decided that none of these settings would work for me and decided to pick a less tight tension so I slowly settled on 3 and 4. The magnets also on 4. It took me the rest of the rest of the week to get used to it. After all that I can now say that the gan 13 is now my main. Going back to the tornado feels bad to me now because of its tougher corner cutting. I lube my gan 13 with gravitas, dignitas, and mystic. For me this is perfect. I don’t experience any of the lockups I used to and I average slightly faster on it too. I have set my pb average of 5, 12, 50, and 100. The only thing I don’t have on it is my pb single. That’s still on the tornado. I am glad I spend the time so that I now have an excuse to have the cube. It’s sooo much money!! Only get if you accept the debt this cube will give you. 😂
Hey we’re on the same boat. I tried different settings but settled with 4 top wheel, 5 bottom, then 1 magnets. Try these settings! It can corner cut and has a smooth stable feeling.
@@cak0729 I just saw your comment and tried out these settings. They are great, I definitely need to find out what settings work for me most, but thanks for the comment. I really like the weaker magnets and I am definitely going to keep the magnet settings.
@@cYuber356 Hi glad that it helps. I’m still tinkering the settings then I found out that I like 356 (top/bot/mag) setting the most. It doesn’t warp when I’m doing my algs. In addition, since I use roux, the M (not M’) slice on this setting is great! I didn’t get the minor catches vs other settings and it’s soooo stable even with my messed fingertricks. Try these setting and let me know 😎👌 Btw I’ve experimented a lot of settings already to the point that I managed to break the locks that keeps the center caps lol but still working though. 😂
@@RamThakkar Tbh my turning isn’t great. I just put it on really tight tensions so it’s slow but really smooth. In fact I need to slow my turning down imo. I average 16 seconds but I pause too much. I need to start focusing on lookahead
Well, it's rather strange in my opinion. I wouldn't say that my turning style is perfect (or even close to), yet Gan 13 feels very forgiving and stable.
With soke specific fingertricks amd grips corner cutting on the tv3 just does not happen. Thats my main problem and thats why i dont like this cube too much. Overall its quite good
i also have both cubes and i agree with the corner cutting being worse with tighter tensions and still being relatively unstable at the strongest magnet settings with the gan 13. my tensions are 2 at center and 5 at edge at the gan, which is similar to the default settings of the tornado v3. but the mix of lockups and magnets not snapping the corner pieces perfectly into place just honestly makes the experience worse for me. doing an F' with a thumb demonstrates one of the lockups with the gan 13.
Is there a big difference between uv and frosted coated ? and I found the gan 13 maglev for 40 euros and the tornado v3 flagship for 40 euros so Wich one is better for me ?
Actually Gan 13 is also great but is requires light and accurate turning Also when I entered speedcubeshop they said that they will send me birthday gift so will they send??
I avoided buying the tornado V3 because of my poor experience with the x-man flare 2x2. That 2x2 was horrible in my opinion because it feels very "rigid". Personally I like cubes that feels soft. Do you think that the tornado V3 feel similar to the flare 2x2 in terms of the turning? Like is it "rigid" or "soft"? Hope you understand my question haha
Every 2022 youcuber now : Tornado v3 vs gan 13 Every 2021 youcuber then: Wrm 2021 vs tornado v3 Every 2020 youcuber then Rs3m 2020 vs qiyi ms vs ylm vs meilong 3 m Every 2019 youcuber then X man spark vs hays 7 m vs aufu gtsm
I tried the Pioneer at a recent comp and it’s quite a bit faster. Honestly depends whether you want a fast and slightly uncontrollable cube or a more controllable cube.
@@RamThakkar I think it doesn't mean that the gan 13 is worse, just that if youre not used to how gan feels then you shouldn't use it because it would suck. If not its great,
I had a question since i am from India just like you, What part of india do you live in because for me in navi mumbai it costs a lot of delivery charge from scs but i would like to know how much it costs you from your part of the country
