Excellent review by DK Ji. Politically, Gandhi Family have become the best thing that ever happened to BJP. I saw once twelve AP cabinet ministers dive to grab Rajiv Gandhi’s (then youth Congress head) chappal before he was to enter South Indian temple. It was a disgusting way to show their loyalty and Gandhis loved it. Rajasthan CM Gehlot stands up in a remote conference call when meeting a sitting Sonia Gandhi. In a new India this type of behavior is out of sync with people expectations. No one wants to associate themselves with a losing party.

Bjp had a leader like Narendra Modi to take power from the old guard which included great leaders like Vajpayee and Advani. If the Congress is to have non Gandhi leadership, then the new candidate must have greater following from the people, party cadre, funders etc.. only then, can there be a credible alternative president of the Congress. This is unlikely or happen. There is a genuine leadership deficit within the congress. The old guard needs to step down so that the next generation can build the party anew.

Excellent analysis. But it's best that congress dies its natural death and we have a new party which has a vision for India and compete with BJP. In 8 years no scandal unlike in UPA government, to its credit. AAP has no credibility, it is just advertising and branding agency.

WHY INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS HAS LOST IT'S CREDIBILITY ACROSS INDIA? Congress Party’s main problem is that they have identified Congress Party with Nehru-Gandhi family. If Nehru-Gandhi family lose importance or become very unpopular, the party too will lose. This is what is happening now. Also the Gandhi family do not want to lose the grip over the party. Congress is vanishing from state after state. Gandhi family do not have any clue over the same. They are not strengthening the party or working to make the party relevant in those states. Congress is now run by the fifth generation of Nehru-Gandhi family. The fifth generation of Gandhi family have decayed too much. Nehru and Indira Gandhi became powerful leaders because of their personal charisma and their merit. Rajiv Gandhi had the goodwill of Gandhi surname. But Rahul do not have the same luck. Also Rahul is a poor replica of his ancestors. Gandhi family will not allow any leader to raise in the party, because they are afraid that they may become more powerful in the party. At the same time all these three Gandhis are too dumb to lead the party. Hence all the leaders one by one are leaving the party to greener pastures. Just like a child don't feel the need to work as he is fed by his parents even though he is not hungry, congress is not feeling the need to work to.come into power. Hence the congress even doesn't know the ways to connect with people and request them to vote for them. Their are many parties which have ideology similar to congress which eat into Congress votes in various States. While on the other other hand bjp has got virtual Monopoly in their ideology. The Congress of 1980 and before was one of power and popularity. Congress attracted the best intellect then. Nepotism has pushed the party to the brink. The mediocre leadership is only increasing its decay faster. In the present situation Congress may find it difficult to retain the present strength. Congress will not be able to win even 50 seats in 2024 forget about winning 2024 elections.

Mr.DK Singh, the simple fact is that the pseudo Gandhis want authority without responsibility. Especially, Rahul Gandhi would rather live like a Prince vacationing all over the world, with money flowing in ceaselessly. That is the life he wants. For some time, politics assured this kind of life. But not any more. With the continuing losing streak of Congress under the pseudo Gandhis, the moment of reckoning has come. Either they take lead in the party and take responsibility, which is highly unlikely. The other option is for them to quit India. They won't stay out of power but live in India. That's an impossibility. Some day, we might actually wake up in the morning to learn that the three Gandhis have flown out of the country.

DK Congress was never a big force in Kashmir valley, Ladakh and half of Jammu. It had some presence in Hindu populated Jammu areas. It was there visible because Congress was in power at the centre. So Azad cannot be blamed for a diminished Congress in J&K. In fact he never was a J&K politician and operated mostly from Delhi right from his Youth Congress day’s. He was sent as CM in 2006 because Congress had no local face as widely known.

Good one DK Singh Ji. Rahul Gandhi should have taken a bolder step to let go of everything to do with Congress including Sonia Ji. If non-gandhi contestants can't revive the fortune of Congress, then both Rahul and Sonia would have endeared themselves much more than ever before to come back and be at the helm of affairs of Congress. 9 years and debacle after debacle is not making them open up to Reality 😭

DK Sir, there are a few things to consider before writing the "obituary" of the INC. Firstly, although INC has just about half the MLAs of the BJP, the third highest party, the TMC has about one-third of that of the INC. It took herculean efforts from the Gandhi sibling to get AAP to number 4 on the MLA count list but even at 150 MLAs, AAP does not really count for much. AAP is simply a MEDIA HYPE. Secondly, BJP will ensure that INC-MUKT-BHARAT fails. Overall, while the THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE TO MODI is a reality, THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE FOR INC is also a reality. Unless an alternative to INC emerges, the Gandhis basically have IMPUNITY. AAP has NO STRATEGY. Both Delhi and Punjab were handed over to AAP by the INC and BJP too was compliant with it which is unlikely to happen in Gujarat. In either case, Kejriwal will need at least a decade to go national.
