Those gangs have managed to end Haiti as a State. 80 to 90 percent of their capital and parts of the countryside are ruled by them. If some criminal gangs (more like terrorists because they have political aims and want to be in government) were to able that, your in for a tough fight, with only a tiny international force (2 500 for a country of 11 million is nothing), and a basically non-existent military and police. I hope the Haitian people and international forces win, but this is such a messed up country that it needs decades to rebuild, and it needs it’s extremely corrupt political culture eradicated and have a new political elite created from the ground up.
Some of the gangs members have military training , barbeque used to be a police officer for example..i'm sure he gave his men at least basic military training.. Plus..kenyans& rest are up against far superior numbers of gang-members who have an extensive knowledge of the city.. It's gonna be hard .

The local police and army is terribly poorly armed, highly corrupt, and the small 2 500 foreign police are also likely armed and too small in number. Also many of the gangsters including their leader are former cops! Haiti would need at least ten thousand international cops and have their institutions essentially reborn in order to truly restore their land into a State again.
I hope things resolve peacefully. But I think BBQ underestimates the Kenyan military. Kenya fought in both world wars, had its own liberation war, and has recent experience fighting ISIS and Somalia Islamic Courts. If BBQ starts trouble, he will find it fast.

Kenya is in NO shape to be sending personnel to Haiti, Kenya has its own internal problems and they aren't handling things well. Sending Kenyan personnel to Haiti just complicates an already bad situation in both countries.
