@@ExoticGamingGB Did i say they record all their verses in one take? no, i asked how could Nas or anyone else possibly record a song if they "leave out every word that trips up their breath"
@@sneakyamxx im hundred percent wit u bro. Golden era people literally needed only a mic for themselves to move the crowd like they supposed to in hip hop. Who tf gonna sing along cardi B or watever lils out there.
Guru will always be top 3 on my list, he's too fucking unique, comes with clever rhymes containing positive messages. And the whole Jazzmatazz project is so ingenious. Rest in peace brother Keith! Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal.
Even if these crowd is only full of 30 to 40 people. They all feel more power then 20.000 motherfuckers nowdays with their phones in the Sky. Pure energy. Rest in heaven guru. Peace from Germany
The energy is the crowd is amazing !!! Premier and Guru (rip god) on the stage, knowledge in the lyrics, flow and delivery on point, beat is a master piece=REAL HIP HOP !!! Unity, knowledge, wisdom, brotherhood that's REAL HIP HOP !!! I miss this so much,I'm going to the grave with my records collection bro I'm telling you
I fucking keep on replaying the part where GURU says, "and you know, and I know, I'm nice like that!". It's mad raw and there is crazy energy when the crowd gets in on it! You can tell they feelin' the realness!!! Can't stop replaying this!!! INSANE!!!
Incredible performance - the crowd really showed their love as well . Guru is one of the biggest losses to music ever and yet barely anyone knows who he is. At least his fanbase is strong and know what a genius he was
@Frischeparadies The man stated a fact. How many times does Guru's name comes up in those bullshit top 5's 10's or even top 20? The brother is most definitely underrated. True hiphop heads knows better. But how many of them has a voice in today's hiphop climate. Guru is underrated bro.
@Frischeparadies Perhaps the problem is your lack of understanding. I'm a fan of the emcee has been a fan sense 1988 that's one year before the record deal. Guru is indeed top 5. But he does NOT get the respect he deserves and if you are telling me he does than you sir are obviously delusional. No mention at those wack ass award shows nor on other emcees songs. Chub rock never forgets Guru. Maybe a few others. Industry wise, the legendary emcee was considered underground throughout his entire career.
Not underrated just under known, they didn’t sell a lot of records like a lot of other rap acts so he wasn’t as popular but pretty much everyone who knows Gang Starr has Guru rated super high and considers him an all time great. Gang Starr did deserve to be a lot more popular tho that’s forsure, they made some of the best rap songs/albums of all time. Guru is highly respected Gang Starr just didn’t get the popularity they deserved but the people who know their music know what’s up and how great guru and premier were
I'm more impressed he remembered all the rhymes and didn’t miss one word. That's crazy but that's Gang Starr and the crowd was showing love the whole time 🔥🔥🔥
Damn , I never thought Hip hop would die ...... now we got fools going up on a TUesday THis is the reason I wanted to come to America !!!!! Got off the plane in New York and I felt like I made it to the Mecca of Hip hop . This is legendary
This track gives me the chills, especially the beat.. And yeah, look at how much people are feeling this music, you don't see people like this at hip hop jams nowadays!!
Real hip hop. True classic D.J in Premier and one of the best rappers ever Guru. And all you needed was turntables, mixer, microphone, and speakers. Here you see a crowd of people that appreciate what they are witnessing as they party. This was before cell phones now when people witness a live performance they don't get their party on because they are to busy taking pictures and videos. Nothing beats old school hip hop I'm blessed to have experience it.
Much respect to my man we knew as "Guru" And who your Moms know as Keith may your soul be at eternal peace Above the clouds with the Father who made ya and he gave ya ta us for just a little while And we got to soak up some wisdom that you mean tto deliver for the sake of the savior To a nation in a generation of lost sheep without a shepherd. Your eyes could see behind the horizon the bright new sunrise you were enlightened never compromising your faith in what's right. Always bold serving yo
Yo.... why couldn't I been born around the 60's or 70's so I could of been well grown experiencing the era we used to live in. Nostalgia and I'm not even from those times. Dam mane
Honestly.that performance has GOT to be top 3 live hip hop performances.i mean cmon man.gangstarr hittin every lyric.premier beat and adlibs of course on point, and the audience is defenitley LIVE as fuck!they all juss feeding off eachother in perfect unison....love this shit.
