Had been white river rafting in 2017, it was the best experience of my life. We in India don't value nature at all. It's heart breaking to see the state of our rivers. Nice video.

And the stream which comes from gomukh that not comes to rudraprayag that that comes to devpryag where bhagirathi meets alakannda which comes from kedarnath.

As we grown listening religious stories related to yamuna & ganga, when i saw yamuna first time in my life in Delhi, i felt very sad due to its situation. But in rainy season when i saw mighty yamuna flowing in full strength i felt very happy & attached. I still remember, i stopped at bridge 30 minutes to enjoy the view. Same happened when i saw ganga in Rishikesh. We must keep our rivers clean.

Your sampling technique is wrong...I am working on water treatment...when you take water for sampling..it must be taken full bottle...and cap should be put inside the water...sample must be air sealed

Ek aur galti Rishikesh me ganga ji ka paani crystal clear nahi hai kafi jyada sediment hota hai ganga ji me it's never crystal clear.. In local language we call it Kachaila paani But yes it is super fresh and almost non polluted.. With love From Rishikesh

In 2016 there is 2250 crore rupees for Ganga cleaning but not all this money are use and in 2019 budjet there is 750 crore minimize the budjet.then how Ganga clean? In India there is water crisis increase in every year, no budjet for saving environment.

The place from where you collected the water sample in patna technically isn't ganga. This portion of river is cutoff from the river mainstream and the water remains stagnant at this place for the most part of the year...so technically it was just a pond. The mainstream river retreats back from the ghats after monsoons by a few hundred meters. I'm sure you would have got better results in patna if you had collected the sample from main river instead of the logged water.

Main reason for ganga and other river's pollution is dumping of industrial waste & untreated water.

Nice coverage by BBC, unlike other channels which show the rosy picture, BBC shows the stark reality.. The fact of the matter is Ganga is not as clean as it is supposed to be and there is a long way to go and possibly another 2,00,000 crore of investment required including constructing something similar like sea walls in Mumbai across all riverbanks in every city and village. This should not be restricted only to Ganga, but carried across all rivers in India. If we don't protect our water now, then our existence of future generations will become questionable.

The pollution department in Kanpur should be put behind bars. For the sake of money they are doing irreversible damage to their rivers and environment. What will be money of use when you won’t have rivers and good air. No developed nation will pollute their environment as in India. On top of that all Indian customs and religious practices are such that they increase pollution. Throwing away pesticides laden flowers in rivers , ashes, idols of god, all meant to pollute water.
