She made headlines for all the wrong reasons when she was dubbed a ‘Gangsta Granny’ in a pun on the David Walliams children’s book.
But Deirdre Brady insists that she was only doing what she told when she laundered cash for the mob and was too afraid to say no.
Brady just released from prison after serving three months of a one year sentence for her part in laundering cartel cash says she is just an ordinary person who was made do what she did. But was she happy to turn a blind eye.
Nicola speaks with Niall Donald about the privileged lifestyle of a wife of a Cartel heavy and the shame of her undoing.

I think your expression of pity or sympathy is totally unfounded and misguided. Thousands of people go to work everyday,suffer injustices,toil to pay their way and their bills. You mentioned it briefly in your comments but that little circle of husband,wife & mistress must have so much blood on their hands you can never forget that. Numerous people and their families have been indelibly tagged with their evil deeds.

Nicola sounds so bitter I think she went out with a dealer called Big Paddy when she was in college doing journalism and he absolutely kicked her back doors of the hinges for 2 years and then left her for her best mate that goes by the name of ginger the minger that was a right goer apparently!! And now she’s just so bitter because she’s never had it as good since she was dumper for the ginger !!!
