It's not that the movie is underrated, it's that the media doesn't want people to see the movie and the cruel reality it shows. Although it is a fictional movie real people go through these things just so they can get by in prison.
Its about as unrealistic as it gets. A guy with no crim history and a manslaughter conviction would have done less than 5 in min, not max. And no, you don't have to join a gang to survive prison, that's movie BS.
@@RD-nu8sg It is first and foremost a film that entertains. And your statement depends on so many factors. And sometimes all it takes is one inmate who doesn't like your face to make your time hell. Also, in some prisons there are actually people who will hate you, either because of their own problems, prejudices, or the color of your skin. With problems in prison, no one-man show survives. and then you have to decide either you bend down or you put someone to sleep
@@RD-nu8sg you are right he would not go to max. But people from max who dont want to get rapped end up in gangs. Instead of helping people they are trained to become more violent
isnt this the movie where a guy accidently murders/baseball bats the thief who broke into his home but charged with manslaughter and turned into a real criminal in prison?! so unrealistic.
@chris I did 7 years in california prison just got released 2 years ago what they portray in this movie is very inaccurate on how things go down in prison
@@anthonyhogan8949 Most Hollywood movies are. The point is someone doing 18 mo. in prison can easily catch a charge and get more time. You role with your car. If things pop off, you better throw down. The guy in the movie got caught partaking in a riot.
This movie was amazing even the look on the beasts face when he realizes it was all a setup to get to him. There was almost a look of pride for being so smart and such a warrior
The most heart breaking fact is that he sacrifised for his loved ones without any reward in return. at least it's knowledge. Amazing character build up. Many thanks for the director ❤
The film is called shot caller a shot caller is the leader of a gang he tells the other gang members what to do who sell drugs to how to get drugs past security and they are allies with some of the staff that work there that helped them with phones and cigarettes and drugs.
Very underrated movie. Yet amazing piece of art. Difficult for most to imagine something unless experience it for themselves. When in reality Life is cruel, to survive it one must be both, cruel an kind, not to be mistook for weakness nor non-sympathetic.
@@sutaxkapoor I wish it was but no. Just "Shot Caller", BUT if you like Shot Caller I HIGHLY suggest, "Felon" its made by the same Director and writer as Shot Caller. He made Felon first, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
DITTO! Me TOO😂🤣😇 I rap every single word, as if I’m Coolio, spitting them lyrics myself 😝 My 2 lil’ladies (tween-age daughters) just stare at me, shocked, that I know the beats and really get into it (seat back, leaning towards the passenger side more, one arm/hand on wheel, other on shifter resting while ignoring everything around me for those few minutes hahaha 🎙 🎧🎶 BUT! I always drive home the important message in the movie “Dangerous Minds” We all have choices... good or not so good, but, actions cause reactions, choice is still solely ours 😇

Proverbs 4:14-22 Do not enter the path of the wicked, And do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it; do not travel on it, Turn away from it and pass on. For they do not sleep unless they have done evil, And their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble. My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
The personification of the 'I'm not stuck with you, you're stuck with me'. The way he did his partner cold when he found out he was snitching something else too. 👀
