I love this, it shows the range of your creativity and talent, proving Gangstagrass is not just another fad of the music industry, but Gangstagrass is a genre that was waiting for it's time, and America needs this.
I wanted to share what I just posted on FB along with this video..see yesterday was my 56 birthday--- 26 years ago I planned to kill myself on that day.. .and I worked damn hard to get healed and well...help others in the same boat as I was (including becoming a minister.) I just heard this after for the upteenth time paling your amazing version of "OH death" (with I wish you'd do a live or at least a music video of the song with Brandi.) This popped up... and blew me the fuck away...so here's what I posted... "I am suddenly crying...I have been blown away by Gangstagrass since I heard them do "Oh Death" the combination of bluegrass and hip hop is surprisingly amazing. This song...oh my god...thinking about the last 4 years, and especially the last one while hearing the rap parts of this amazing mashup... If I suddenly went deaf right now, and this was the last song I ever heard....I would be completely ok with it. WOW...I know this is "birthday weekend" and with it always in one way or another comes with some measure of self reflection...since 26 years ago today I hadn't planned to be around... But this... Wow. It makes it all worthwhile. Thank you Universe for my life...and the gift of hearing this song in context tonight.... "Raise a glass to the hard times that made us all stronger." Indeed." Thank You
Sweet. Only recently discovered you outlaws, binging Justified. And was instantly blown away. What an absolute epiphany to combine the 2 cultures! Tho you've been around for years, I'm now a fan. Will check out your interviews & all to see your origins.
We need a nation wide amber alert that just plays this song for everyone to hear and feel. We are one even though its been forgotten we forever will be one.
