You know how sometimes when you die, it still says you have like 10% of your HP left? You used to also be able to buy items that gave HP while dead, sell them, and then your HP would go up while you're dead. My first thought was he did something like that, then when he respawned the game gave him his full HP back, causing him to end up with more than max HP. However as far as I can tell doing some quick testing, that seems to have been fixed. So I legitimately have no idea
