Hey, Paddy 🍀 Interesting video, my friend 😉 For value for money - Ganzo's rock! 💪🏼 I also enjoy 🌹 RoseCraft, especially with their fit & finish, which is amazing value for money 💰 Thanks for sharing, Stephen, ATB Gus 👍🏻
Kids nowadays don´t know what they are talking about. They seems to believe that older steels, magically, gets worse just because some newer steels are a bit better.
As I've said a dozen times, my favorite EDC is a Ganzo 753m1, 440C. I keep it scalpel sharp with a strop, it rarely sees my diamond stone. It did take a while to loosen up, but now the action is perfect. I had one problem years ago, and Ganzo sent me a replacement. I've got a drawer full of more expensive knives, but for the money, there isn't a better knife. I've used them on a boat and for fishing and never got a spot of rust. If anything, Ganzos get better with age. Thanks for this video, Stephen.
Years ago I changed jobs, and money was tight. I bought a Ganzo off Amazon. That was about 11 years ago. A couple weeks ago I bought my first Ganzo in many years a 729. Very nice knife indeed.
I remember your Ganzo videos. I bought Ganzos too. They are excellent knives and brought many of us into the hobby. To my mind 440C is a good steel then and now. VG10 is a high quality steel.
Thanks Paddy, looks like they are perfect users. Your recent videos about budget knives have convinced me to try Rough Rider again - a wee buffalo/pearl/abalone stockman which should arrive soon...ATB👍
Ganzo USA is located in New York and and guarantee all their products for a year. They sell more than knives and any products they sell I bought proved to be quality products. There cost makes them a knife that you can use as hard as you want and not fear of damaging them. ☘🥔🔪👍
I have 4 Ganzos. Their quality is really good. The steel is good. If you don’t do stupid things with your blades they hold an edge well. Their heat treatment is excellent. I put an 18 degree mirror edge on them and all I ever have to do is strop them for a touch up. Thanks. 🎸🔪
They are really nice, especially for the money. I have over 10 and no major issues other than sometimes weak detent. But I think they are slowing down recently, didn't release anything interesting since FH922. Would be nice if they did a double action OTF and turned G767 into a manual framelock frontflipper.
