It's super important to remember that Duval's persecution, flight, and descent into human trafficking at sea began when Sanji's bounty poster came out. Like two or three weeks ago, tops. MUCH MUCH less if some outside sources are to be believed. Mans hit a HARD left turn in life. Actually makes his notoriety pretty impressive, when you think of it that way.

It makes so much sense, just like what they commented as well, cuz otherwise the ship would be blown away backwards, just like how a coup de burst would do. And also, this kind of balancing reminds me so much of hitman: reborn. So it's perfectly understandable.. hehe 😁

1 barrel for the cannon and 2 barrels for a small coup de burst, to keep the ship in place but I think it can be changed, imagine a Gaon Cannon with 2 barrels

There is an instance of this in the east blue. Kuro the cat pirate captain had Django hypnotize a marine who looked like him so he would be officially dead. The marine that caught him was Axe hand Morgan's Helmeppos dad this is when his jaw was broken and when he became a captain. Edit: Kurt to Kuro

Duval gets beat up by the Straw Hats. It seems like people that fall into this category have a coin flip chance of forever hating them or becoming friends / helping them in some way later on. The way Oda writes makes it so hard to tell what's coming, only for us to go back dozens or hundreds of chapters and see that what transpired was foreshadowed somehow :) I just hope some of Robin's dark comments aren't foreshadowing...

Well, rest assured that this is not the main boss of this arc, cuz the main boss is a far far far cry from Duval.. and Duval is not just a side character that comes as a mere filler, as he plays a very very important role for the Straw Hats Pirates, too 😊
