i don't know if someone told you this already but the love scene wasn't really directed, they had a brief but freen and becky acted it out as they felt (they often say they act with their feelings). we don't know for sure if they are dating or not but freen describes their relationship as "something she never thought would find or that she doesn't know if she'll find a relationship like this again" which goes to say how deep and rare their love is, in whatever form that is
Look, I usually agree with the whole not assuming actors are dating when they say they're not but the issue with Freenbecky is that they don't say "we're not dating" plain and simple, they say "we're not dating" wink wink, nudge nudge, shy smile, avoiding eye contact and turning red as a tomato and giggling as two kids with a crush - then proceed to say they spend all their time together and how important the other is to them and crying while saying those things. Like... Freen has confirmed, kind of, that she is in a relationship and if that relationship isn't with Becky, her girlfriend has to have a confidence of steal, I swear to god.
let's be honest, i think they're dating but just don't want to make it public, i mean all the clues are there, meeting the family, spent new year eve together, bought each other valentine's day gifts, admit themselves that they're together everyday even if it's not for work, got caught on a date wearing 'frenchie's mom' tshirt and 'dog's dad' cap (i literally melted when i saw it 🥹), refers to themselves as bonbon's mami and daday, becky's brother keep on dropping hints about them, save each other's numbers as 'Babe' and 'bb', have no problems sharing a lollipop, Becky's mom is extremely busy but still make time to have a formal dinner with Freen, Becky said that her parents are fine with her dating girls (why would that even come up in the first place?) etc there are literally so many clues pointing towards them being a couple
Fun fact: when they were filming this episode, the director was posting photos and the fandom noticed the nails. The fandom explained that the nails gotta go because it's just not how gays do it. And they actually listened
That scene from the first time was improvised by them, the director just said: I want it to be cute. And the magic happened. Even in one part the director yelled at them to cut many times but they kept giving each other kisses and caressing each other, he himself exposed them on twitter.
One of my favorite episodes, it's hard to choose because they're all so good. But this one is marked by the 1st real kiss (and what a kiss, I don't forget that tongue and Freen's reaction to seeing this scene is very funny) and it was also their 1st time (it was intense, good music, good lighting) what else can we ask? lol
Both actrecess have such a genuine chemestry, in real life too, that all the love scenes, even the kissing scenes, felt organic and natural, to the point that i feel like i'm intruding and should leave them alone. I understand now why the characters were so hesitant to give the first step, once they light the spark they won't turn back, only fire from now one, they really put western media to shame. You can usually tell in western media that there was choreography involved in the filming, and in some actors you can see the ackwardness, but here the girls give there all, the director and the company are very respectfull and carefull with them (the CEO Saint it's the same age as Freen aka Lady Sam), and the result was a very sensual and emotionally charged scene that didn't sexualized them for the male gaze, they show enough to convey the emotions and what was happening and it came out beautiful.
Juli honey...the whole love scene was improvised, there was no one directing it, the director only told them to do what they feel comfortable with, and they did it in one take. That's why we all think they're dating, and also...the whole production crew and cast of gap the series ships freenbecky, and they say this publicly. Especially Nam (the actress that plays Jim, she's literally the captain of the ship) hahaha

You are correct about the shows leadership. The director is a guy, but there are a lot of women on the set along with other "seemingly" queer staff. As for the intimate scenes only the required camera crew were there. And like they said before, the director told them the scenario and mood of the lovers and they discussed it on set and then went with their "feelings". Actually, actresses never had a discussion (except about moods), choreography, reversal or practice. They improvised everything based on mood-infused scenarios described by a director. They did all within one take lmao. I believe Becky is very experienced in soundings cause she aspires to be a singer. This girl can actually rap and sing! I'm guessing she's aware of moaning sounds. I also heard that she watched sapphic films and maybe, both Becky and Freen took an inspiration from some films. The company had huge reseaches before filming the whole series, taking suggestions/criticisms from the sapphic community and the CEO of the company seems to be queer as well. He was also involved in filming the series. He made sure cameras were comfortable for actresses. He is pretty close to them. It make sense that they were passionate for this project.
What you said about whether we should assume they are dating is exactly my thought. If the actresses insist that they are not romantically involved no matter for what reasons, we should respect that and it is not important how flirty they are with each other or how natural their kisses look. Some girls are really like that. Just think of those straight girls in high school that call each other wifey. I think it is unfair that some fans acting like obsessive girlfriends invade their personal life and harrass them and people around them. We should be happy that these two ladies, despite their sexuality, put their best performance to give us one of the best TV shows with GL as the main theme. That is already a service to the LGBTQA+ community.

For me, they clearly love each other. There is never a doubt about that.

There was a Chinese GL "couple of mirrors". It had so much potential man. The main leads were so beautiful and with so much chemistry. The show was based on a lesbian comic novel. Due to censorship they couldn't make it gay. But it was soooo goooddd. I hope they make second season of that show. A story about a ruthless assassin and a famous novel writer. Their lives mingle over a murder case. And they have raise a kid togather in a "platonic" way. It's also free on youtube with subtitles.
i think people are too hard on sam, from her pov, it really is suspicious what mon is doing like: kirk calling sam asking not to fire her. then right before they had sex for the first time- mon brought him up. in the office she gets a message and lies to sam, which she later discovers that she was with kirk and when she confronts mon about it, she lied and gaslighted her. and finally she encounters them and hears kirk say that he likes mon, clearly we know the context and that's why it's not a big deal for us, but from sam's pov this is all very bad. i get why she's mad and the only thing she did wrong was calling mon a "wh0re". on the other hand, everyone seems to ignore the fact that mon is literally lying to sam to cover for kirk in something that she KNOWS is gonna upset her. and trust me, i know sam did a lot of bad things and she needed to ask for forgiveness but in this case, mon has to do it too
