I have a space on the left side of my two front teeth. I had metal braces about 22 years ago but I lost my retainer a few years after the braces were removed and this space has widened. Can you help me?

I recently got composite filling on my front tooth due to exhausted teeth where there's minor chips & thinning. But they made it a little larger & longer? Don't get me wrong I really really love it, but the dentist said I can't chew with it😭 it's only for aesthetic purpose...

I recommend you getting another opinion from a different dentist or maybe get a Crown/Veneer on those teeth so that you can chew. I'm sorry to hear your treatment wasn't successful; one of the things that I will recommend to you in the first place is contacting your dentist to tell them you're not satisfied; they should either repeat the crowns or propose other treatment options like braces. Hi Renuka, thanks for watching! Composite buildup should last for 5 years on average. However, this material is not as durable as your natural teeth. Therefore, it can wear down, chip off, break depending on your habits. (Like teeth grinding or clenching, or biting on hard things)
