I spent all afternoon today going through all the bins we moved out of my daughter’s dorm room last May. She’s going back for sophomore year in about a week now. I went through everything and reorganized and put like items together so it would be easier for when we move her back in this year. There was so much stuff she never even opened or used! I couldn’t believe it. Cleaning and personal hygiene supplies, so many little dust collector decor pieces etc. she’s an art/ graphic design major so most of her items were art supplies. She also has the “hoarder genes” -from my husband’s side 😂) So she collects “found” objects and turns them into art. Which is cool, but also a pain b/c it means she never throws any thing out. Which does NOT work when you’re living in a tiny space like a dorm room. So I took out all the items she never used, and set them aside for her to double check over, as well as all her little decor bits. When we moved her out in May it was horrible! Too much stuff. So we told her she needs to get rid of a bunch. She took out a bin, and I took out another huge bin full. I’m thinking there’s probably going to be more that we get rid of when we move in. I’m praying that she ends up with only the items she loves and uses all the time. I need her to go through her linens and pillows next. She said she went through her clothes already, but we will see.
Tish, does your husband build ship models and then paint them? My husband does that and then displays them with a calligraphy card saying the name of the ship. My husband loved watching your husband explain about the ship you toured! So cool!

I really love watching your videos to relax. Im a nurse and mom of two toddlers, watching you shop really calms me i have no idea why exactly. I find your voice soothing- like im with my best friend just chilling idk. I get my cup of tea and curl up after the little ones are asleep. Anyways thank you so much ❤
Gurrrrllll, the way my heart started racing when you opened the garage doors...😳😱 It reminded me of the show Horders.😄😄 I too have a Type-A personality. I have Sleeping with the Enemy type of tendencies so that garage made me nervous.😆 Kudos to you for finally attacking it tho. Hope you were able to part with stuff you haven't seen, used or don't really need.😉

I can see the progress you've made in the garage, next time you go in there you will really see the progress. But I had to laugh at the old keurig still being there. Tish, at the brunch, the first picture you showed of the table, i immediately picked out the birthday girl because she had the biggest smile. Then you showed her, and I was right.

This must be the summer of declutter! I cleaned out our garage, much of which was still unpacked boxes from our move in 2018. I casually mentioned that I could just take the boxes to the thrift store and not miss anything. My hubby's face lit up like, "I can do that!" No, I didn't REALLY mean it. I went through every box and am happy to report that I kept very little. I hope someone else can benefit from my former "stuff" because I am loving my clean garage.
I turned minimalist on Jan 1 and btw selling, donating and trashing, I got rid of over 400 items and I do not miss any of it. So freeing! Keep at it Tish! 🎉
Guuurl ..I had an anxiety attack when those garage doors opened! LOL. I always wonder "where does she put all of that stuff she buys"...now I know! LOL. I give you credit for tackling that!!
I'm looking at the video and I am in tears, I have so many things in storage 😢 that belongs to my husband and daughter 💕 who passed away 11-12 years ago. I am deciding to get rid of some stuff but it so bittersweet 😊. I just don't want to let go of it 😭 but I have to do it the storage unit bill is so expensive so I have to let go of a lot of there stuff.But anyway I feel you.. Ohhh Tish your garage is like my attic, lol I pulled everything out and than injured both ankles, one broken the other a grade 3 sprain with tears. Hey Tish! I'm right there with you. I've needed 2 knee replacement surgeries for the last year and have been unable to do anything to keep up on the cleaning/organization of my basement and garage. I finally got my first knee surgery done on May 8th and my second on July 31st. I can hardly wait to finish rehab and get into it!! Gorgeous birthday girl and amazing cafe. You deserve lots of grace Tish, you're an awesome lady to so many. 🤗💗
You were in your garage… I almost had to go into my garage and into my vehicle to charge my phone to watch your video. The electricity in my area went out before 5:30pm today. Girl , I promise you I don’t know how you do it . Where do you get ALL of that Energy ? Give me some of it please . You tackle one project at a time , seems like NON - STOP . Don't feel bad my basement looks like a mini unorganized flea market. I keep saying I have to get down there and clean it and then my brain takes over and tells me ahh do it next week. 😂😂
girll.....my house now doesn't have a garage and i hate to think if it did the stuff i would be hoarding in there. I have a basement for storage and i need to clean that as soon as physically i am able to.
consider giving unwanted items to a local thrift store that way families who cant afford things can buy them for much cheaper. love your videos. where did u buy that candle warmer.
