I know kids are weird, and I fully accept it, but I never dreamed I would find a whole YT channel devoted to my toddler's odd obsession! Thank you so much for doing this!
So glad your toddler likes it! My 5 yr old makes garage doors out of paper and cardboard everyday, he is 100% obsessed. He also loves Roblox since you can find worlds that are dedicated to garage doors and put them up and down for hours!
Hello! My son also likes garage doors. At first I thought he just wanted to go outside, then I thought maybe it was the acoustics in the shop, but he is just as interested in the actual garage door. He is also interested in blinds that go up and down with the beaded chain, which is similar to how the door in our machine shop works. I wonder if your son might elaborate on what it is that he enjoys or finds interesting about garage doors? Also, is it bad for the door to open and close it repeatedly, or is that something I need to let go of? And finally, can you guys recommend any toys or activities for inside that would satisfy this interest? Because it is freezing outside, so we can’t just open and close the doors all the time!
Sorry, just seeing this! My son likes the movement of the panels the most but he also likes the noises the doors and springs make. I would suggest making a garage door out of a cardboard box! Get a large moving box and turn it into a garage. Cut a rectangle out for the garage door and fold it so it has panels. I'll make a video one day of the many garages we have! I'm glad your son likes the videos!
@@GarageDoorChannel thanks for sharing! I wonder, how much opening and closing the garage door is too much? Of course, traditional wisdom says you should only open and close the garage door as needed, but why? Is that just a made up rule, or are there things to consider?
I'm so confused 🤪 I went to RU-vid to find out issues with my garage door and ways to fix. I find out there is a whole community of just watching garage doors opening, closing and different angle 🤔
@gunnarbondank3893 yes it was about $3,000 to get new doors plus a new motor for the big door. But the new ones are heavily insulated and are very nice and look great, so we love them
