I would start out with doing more frequent smaller water changes and feed more times per day with less food each feeding. Feed them as soon as they are free swimming. Also provide food accordingly to the size of the fry. For example, my albinos are smaller and can't eat BBS right away so I feed them microworms. Some strains do prefer softer water so r.o. water or rain water should also be helpful in keeping them alive. Albino types do prefer low lighting as high lighting can blind them.
