This episode really brought back some really nice memories. The concrete leaf you purchased reminded me of the ones my husband and I did about 15 years ago using our huge elephant ears. I loved that craft and he did too. We had some really good times. Now we did concrete for outdoor use and we made some to display in our home using plaster of paris.Anyway just wanted to let you know how much your channel blesses me. My husband passed away in 2017 and I had not thought of those leaves in years, I've been smiling now just remembering.

Mary, you two seem to have such fun doing things like this. What a blessing! I live nearer Columbus (hour and half-ish) and now I want to take our truck and do this. Maybe next time, Lord willing, I will see you there! I want another Hoosier cabinet. Ohhh you were down by my neck of the woods. Mount Vernon. That is where I grocery shop. I used to live in Columbus. I did not know they had a Pottery Barn. Love those. Great deals. Can not wait to see what you do with all your new treasures. I Just love them. Btw I am in Holmes county all the time. I always think of you. LoL bc I know yours there. LOVE this video Mary! I always look forward to your projects! I love distressing wood furniture and you are such a true inspiration! My husband and I stopped by the Antique Mall last weekend on our way to Youngstown Ohio. I did a video of your booth for my video on RU-vid! Oh, Mary, I would love to see a dollhouse made and decorated by you. I love making dollhouses and miniatures in 1:12 scale. It is such a rewarding hobby that makes other people smile when they see it, whether from nostalgia or just from the aspect of seeing a 5 or 6 foot cabinet made as a 5 or 6 inch replica. Such a fun thing to do and I have no doubt your's would be as amazing as everything else you create! TFS Lov your channel.

Across from OTP is a thrift store called Furniture with a Heart. They get neat pieces in there all the time. Prices are hit or miss, but I've found lots of nice things in there.

I enjoy everything you brought back with you. I could go nuts in those places.....LOL I love to look at it all too. I was hoping you would get the blue and white plates and bowls. My husband asked me today should we go look at some antique malls and I giggled and said, "you mean go look at things we had in our homes as children growing up".........we both laughed but then again nostalgia and there is always something to remind us or some very unique things to find. Such interesting things you found, what fun searching, but funnily enough it's the grey blue stool you sat on that most caught my eye. When I was little many years ago every household had at least one stool like that, a workhorse that was a seat, a stepladder, a side table with a cloth on it, and much repaired. So useful, and simple to create from basic materials. We have some old fence planks hanging about and now i want to make myself a childhood stool. I forgot to say, those stools were perfect as playtime tea tables with miniature tea sets, or just right to make models on with plasticine, as I said, very useful. 😊 It will be a treat to see what you do with your treasures in days to come. 😊👍

LOL!!! As soon as you showed the pink glasses and said Valentine's Day I had to laugh because that's EXACTLY what I thought when you picked them up off the shelf in the store!! I'm beginning to think and see things the way you do!! LOL!! And I'm glad you got the metal piece to hang on the porch, that was another thing you held up that I immediately thought "oh, she has got to have that!". What fun! I went to an Antique store recently & was pleasantly surprised how reasonable & clean everything was for most part. I found 2 copper heart shaped molds reminded me of my mom in law years ago & one has ducks embossed into it. Love them copper accents to go with my cannisters. So fun. Also a beautiful picture frameOh & hand embroidered post cards to send to friends. So pretty. Anyway thanks for sharing love garage sale finds. This summer our neighborhood had a huge block 4 day sale! I snagged some vintage outdoor dishes with a holder a wooden Michigan plaque & many other items for very reasonable. Enjoy recreating your furniture finds!

What fun! So great that your husband could join you! (I envy his backing skills) I think parting with the stuff you buy would be difficult. As you show each piece I eagerly think “Ooh, that would look fantastic on her porch! Ooh, that bench would just go perfectly in her house!” What a great haul! Mary-this was so much fun! Thanks to John for filming you-all the "stuff" and the Car Show was a great surprise bonus. My aunt used to race way back in the day on a dirt track in north Louisiana...early 70's and she drove a blue Charger. The women could only race each other and it was called the "PowderPuff" event -she won many times! The women weren't allowed to race in the men's races. Wow-haven't times changed for the better. Thanks again for bringing us along on y'all's adventure. Cannot wait to see what you do with all of these items. I want to see that outfit upclose where the bottom of your skirt had layers of lace. It looked beautiful.

Gees that black metal holder ! ! I had bought something similar in Lake Placid (I'm from Canada) about 40 years ago. It was an oil lamp holder and the oil lamp and the ornate wall bracket were included in the purchase. It was cast iron and very heavy. I loved it's uniqueness and installed it in a log cabin I used to have in the countryside at the time. When I sold the cabin a few years later, the buyer absolutely wanted me to leave it in the cabin. Never could find something so nice again since.
