Garage Talk: My Father Passed Away - Thank Your Automotive Influencers Before It Is Too Late 

This video is VERY different than my normal releases. It is 100% unscripted and straight from the heart. If you are not interested, that's OK. There's millions of other videos out there. I almost didn't publish this, but I showed it to a few close friends and family members and they said I should. So I did. No advertising, no asking for people to subscribe, none of that...just hoping that this helps someone. And to clarify, the engine never blew in his car while I was in it, I was just saying I loved it so much it didn't scare me no matter how loud the car was. I'm 65 and my dad is 94. We are sitting in my garage together as I watch your video. Dad is weak and limited to his wheelchair or his bed but here we are, still in a garage. It's a long story of how we got here, and one I will share one day. But for now I just wanted to say "thank you" for reminding me that when that day comes and for me to say "goodbye", I will include and additional "Thank you" to my dad for his influence. my greatest pleasure during my career was watching the new Camaro come to life thru each of the "disciples' eyes......and I know that it was fun to watch each of you grow as you learned why GM does what it does -- what works, what does not -- and besides, you're a pretty cool brother -- you and Chris -- I know your father joins my loved ones in "That Great Chevy Showroom in the Sky" --- in your Father's honor -- "Lord -- support us all the day long; ...until the shadows lengthen -- and the evening comes -- and the busy world is hushed......and the fever of life is over......and our work is done.........then in your mercy grant us a safe lodging -- and holy rest.......and peace at last...........

Thank you for sharing this video with all of us out here. People in our life specially our father and mother has the greatest influence. I believe your father was easy-going and just a good guy and loves his son and did so many father and son talks and participated and outdoors and sharing his love with vehicles and motorcycles with you personally. Great video! Good point to honor your Car Mentors. One thing though, I am a Corvette guy now but owned several '55-'56-'57 Chevy's including a '57 Nomad. Your Dad's car is great, but not a Nomad. Anyway, love your videos! You give important details that others don't bother with. Thank you!

This is a very good topic and gave me pause for thought. I can't think of one single person who influenced me in that I was surrounded by quite a few from a very young age of maybe five. But even before that age I was totally fascinated by cars and then trucks and then motorcycles. Thanks Jason for taking me back to yesteryear. 🙏 Save the Wave 🙋‍♂
