I found you by your 1000 mile V8 challenge. I've been binge watching your videos. I love how genuine you are and your car taste is just amazing! Keep up the good work
Hi, love the rambling videos best of all! As a petrolhead and an EV long-timer (currently a Megane, which is great) and also an ex employee of ‘That’ airline many years ago, it’s all good. Also a dog owner and camera lover, looking forward to that channel now 👍
I like this channel, I must say. You're quite calming and sensible, no shouting etc. or fake smiles, which I like - you just seem yourself. I also appreciate how thorough you are on the guides - almost as if you're used to doing pre-flight checks..?! The Stelvio vid has been on my 'to do' list - I have a few in the watch later category, usually reserved for those peaceful evenings when I know I can just sit back. I will say I think the thumbnail is doing it no favours - I actually didn't even notice it there for some reason. All the best!
Ed! I do like hearing your content! Keep doing it. Im excited to hear about your ocean coming and your ionic 6. Fun cars to look forward for your adventures!
Pleased to hear that you still have the l322 looking forward to the next video keep it up, not long had a trip over to Westport in mine beautiful place you should do a video over there in the l322
Enjoy your channel my friend most informative on all that you cover! Started following you for the alfa Content as I'm looking at buying a Gulia. Regards Chris
Liking your ramblings sir, good clue to your current airline with the mention of ‘436’ views for the Stelio Pass. 436 being the Boeing designator to the BA production identifier.
Sad to see your weather is almost as bad as North-east England. I drove around Ireland with a lady friend for a fortnight in Summer about 20 years ago. Beautiful country. Wonderfully warm weather. Raw, untamed. Views for miles, fabulous coasts. And really quite accessible, I use a wheelchair all of the time.
Also, just subscribed to your EV Peasy channel. We’ve got a Nissan Ariya on order for March 1st delivery. Not sure if you’ve driven one. Really well spec’d. Decided not to go for the e-force 4wd one, but one down from that - 87kwh battery the Evolve (242bhp). Very well loaded - HUD, heated/ventilated front seats, heated rear, pan-roof, Bose audio etc. The 4wd e-force is rapid (5 sec to 60, but hits range). Worth a test drive!
@@Back_Road_Hero I had a Mustang Mach E on a 24hr test drive. Good car but for me not quite what I was looking for (and I’m a Ford fan all in as I have my Focus RS, and we’ve had Mondeo, Fiesta, old Escorts etc), but the Mustang didn’t appeal. Then I spotted the Ariya and felt it ticked all the boxes price wise and tech wise. Did consider an MG Xpower but didn’t see the need in the power, and reviews were mixed!
Hi Ed, that's a shame about the viewing figures on the Stelvio on budget video, I enjoyed it; felt like the type of road trip Car Magazine used to do in the 80's. Not a big fan of electric cars, pistons rule for me, but I'll be looking out for the Hyundai content as I keep an open mind. We all need to be appreciative of guys like you who develop & build motoring channels with thoughtful content.
Truth is I’ve no real idea of what works on RU-vid. Perhaps I need to get down to Copart and buy a write off like everyone else!! 😂😂😂 Ed Ps I’m sure not giving up my day job. I’m not much use at this malarkey.
Hi Jon I’ve already upgraded it over the last 15 videos or so. It’s probably right where I want it. I’ve still got to do the Apple CarPlay install video but that’s about it really. Ed
Interested in what mods you think of on the Guilia. Performance wise, would you boost the power? Also what your likes and dislikes are, as I’m sure they’ll apply to my Stelvio!
It’s like asking an athlete if they want steroids. It might make you faster but what is the ultimate cost? To be honest 500hp is more than enough for the road. A stage one map at 600+hp needs to be handled with care. Several already disappear over the hedge where perceived talent exceeds actual ability. Q4 in the Stelvio might actually make it manageable though. I’d love to see the results. Ed
@@Back_Road_Hero very true indeed. It’s already a reasonably edged drive in terms of how rapidly the speed builds, so more power isn’t always the answer. I’d like a bit more smoothness in the drive at town speeds. She always feels like a racing horse being held back and tugging at the reins to be let loose, but there’s nowhere here for that! Hoping to do an Italy trip in a couple of years and do the Stelvio Pass in my Stelvio!
This was ordered months ago with a £5k non refundable deposit. Silly me. I’m not paying any where near that interest rate, 7.3% for us and I’ll own it outright in 5 years. No balloon payment. Ed
Your Alfa content is my favourite and I enjoyed your Stelvio video. Not interested in the EV stuff though, it's just annoying (not your videos but rather the politicians pretending they know what's best when they clearly don't have a clue, fixating on one poor solution and stifling alternative innovation).
