Paul, I hate to tell you but in a dog's way of thinking if they are laying on the bed and it has a blanket and pillows on it, well its theirs. Rule #1 of the dog! LoL 😂! Rule #2...send the human out to work so you can have #1 all to yourself under the guise of " guarding the house"! (Yeah 🤣 right!)
If your son likes to work with his hands trade school is not a bad option- skilled trades make more more than many degrees will give them. Plus many electricians and plumbers have their own businesses
Here's another tidbit for you: pears and apples are botanically identical except for the stones in the pear. And pears won't ripen properly on the tree, so that's why it was so relatively bland and hard. They have to be picked and ripened off the tree.

PAUL, I enjoyed hearing the blue jays early in the video & I wanted to say, you prob. weren't out much when you cut the wire on the heater/fireplace....I had one as a gift & it tripped my circut breaker every time I turned it on so I sold it & bought a regular space heater. Thanks for taking us with you.
I appreciate that you know it's a wheel - barrow. A pet peeve of mine. A barrow was a mound that was put over graves, and if you look, you can see the mound shape in the ones they put on wheels! Great video, Paul. Thanks.
I don't understand why people would comment negatively on Paul's humor. I absolutely LOVE when he drags an appliance by it's "leash"! Paul commented just after the wheel barrow section that someone called him "silly". WTH? I appreciate humor. He's fun and that's why I watch him. Love it when other viewers give him props.

I think that is a bradford pare , when they are just starting to ripen they are almost like a Granny Smith apple. I had one in my yard of my home when I moved in back in 96 and it didn't bear fruit that year. So I got fertilizer stakes for Fruit trees and put the recommend amount around the tree and the next year it has so much fruit it broke branches. I gave many to my wife's friends grand mother that wasn't doing well and not eating. But when she tried those pares she loved them and got much better. Sadly that tree died when my wife used the same pruning shears for weeding on it and 1/2 of the tree died and didn't recover.

I love old paintings. I found one from either early 1900's or late 1800's of a woman oval wood frame. I just kept it. It's so intriguing. Oh and do check in back inside under you might find something else in there. I've found old paper money. You never know.

It tastes like an Apple because it’s a Quince and not a Pear, Paul 😀 They make lovely jelly and go well in Apple Pies too… I used to have a big old Quince tree in the garden of my former house, I spent years trying to get Mistletoe to grow on it and when I finally managed it we moved houses to the South of the country 😂

I enjoy your videos. Speaking of the U.S Coast guard. Here in New London Connecticut. The United States Coast Guard is starting to actually break ground to build an update state of art 5 floors. With Internet cafe and the history of the United States Coast Guard Museum. The project should be complete with in the next few years

Too bad your not in Ft Myers Fl Paul. Scrap all over the sides of the road. Anything west of US 41 was destroyed in hurricane IAN if not by water it was wind. This place wont be the same. Every time I'm out on the road you see a truck pulling a trailer loaded with scrap.
I was just thinking the same thing. I'm in Naples and there's tons all down Gulf shore boulevard and all the avenues Plus even on my street and we weren't even that affected.
You're so right about that but I heard a lot of people ranting about people recycling and saying they're scavengers you have to be really careful after a natural disaster
PAUL: I am one of the people in the Fort Myers Cape Coral area that was hit by the hurricane. There is scrap steel all over the place with no one picking it up. Disaster team just focusing on all the horticulture now. Our house just had minor damage, THANK GOD. Paul, so many were not as blessed as us. Elaine from Florida 🌴🙏😎

Being in the military is good. Enlisting you learn an occupation and can continue to earn a degree, either online or at night classes. One piece of advice we gave our sons was people have to eat or they get sick, try food or something related to it or the medical field. 32 years in the military was a good career choice for me and 20 years for hubby.
That pear tree reminded of the cottage that Grandma lived in. It was in the middle of Mr. Horner's orange orchard. As well as an unlimited supply of oranges, Grandma's house always smelled like cake.
That metal That you're going to practice welding on,this last summer I sat on a bench made out of that sort of metal. I had shorts on and the bench was starting to rot. That bench grabbed ahold of the back of my bare thigh and pinched me. I didn't scream reL bad, cause I thought it was just a pinch.later on after I went inside , there was blood all over the chair that I sat on.
Those a barlett looking pears. But Asian pears are usually are golden and round taste like a firm apple. That's a beautiful pear tree though. You need to buy you noise canceling headphones for a quite house with teenagers and musical instruments! Don't play with your dog on the bed. My German Shepard decided the blanket wasn't the stopping point.....and dug a 3 foot hole in the bed itself. The room looked like it vomited foam and spring. Becareful out there.

I read you didn't keep the painting. Even if you don't, maybe look inside under backing, old timers use to put other things there, maps, notes, other pictures, deeds, and money. What you had taken out of dumpster is for opening the piston on your brake calipers it's a good tool if you know what your doing when you was telling us about your life at gas station I have a friend who like you has basically had a life like you he does funerals for people who have little money and he does the sermon at the funeral also goes to people's homes who are unable to go to church and it makes him feel he is giving something back for his past God bless Paul your a gentleman scrapper 👍👍💖🙏🙏
Amen! Awesome as always Paul. You’re so right about pain my lower back as been killing me the last few days and the doctor told me well nothing we can do and it stinks. While we were in NC we came across something that looked like an apple but had the grit of a pear. I thought I remembered seeing something about an apple pear in years past. It tasted like both.
Wish this weather would stay year round but then what would we have to gripe about. That painting is not real its a reproduction have seen it a few times . Pretty though .
