i always thought it would be funny to make a program that would make an account autopost strava times just 1 second faster than all the koms anytime they were beaten. oh the road cyclists would be furious lol
Wow! Nice - Garbage is one of my favourite trails (still steuggle in a coule of places), but this was the trail that unlocked drips for me! Still, I cant imagine ever riding it that fast! 🤘 🙌
My worst crash and injury ever occurred on Garbage. 1:51. The log skinny. Went over the side and bars at low speed. CT scan.... Hairline fracture of my T1 vertebrae. Wife NOT pleased. Haha. After my peak zenith biking experience on the wood ramp drop on Ridden Art - too much adrenaline. Lol. October, 2019. As always.... Great ride and video.
We should add you to the mountain bikers marriam-websters dictionary with the definition: Dale Stone: A real fast speedy boi, a fast joey. Can ride though any terrain with insane speed. Can be in used in a sentence like this: Wow! He is really fast. He looks like a Dale Stone! Pronounced as : (Deil) (Stone) same as the synonym of rock.
Nick S I was just talking about the Trail Forks “average” time... which is a lot more relevant for a noob oldish plumber like me! Strava uploads remain a fantasy at this point. But even for a plumber, I like watching Dale’s rides - on trails I know - to pick up something, anything, I can learn from.
One of my favourite quick loops. Used to live on Burke so Ridden Art to Recycle was the way to go. Then green bastard on the way out. Great riding up there and great vid!
Didn't even look fast, the way you rode it. Just looked like you were out for a ride and hitting up the fun lines. A good rider does that by line choice and skill. Great work.
Being relatively new to this MTB thing, I admit I had to look up that reference. 100% agree... with your insane conditioning (calling it what it is; how else could you talk normally through some of these feats with heart rates near, and sometimes above, 200bpm?), I think that would be the perfect challenge. You’ve obviously got the downhill thing mastered. Show us uphill!
Do you have a favorite bell that you like using, I've noticed you have many different ones over the last few years, and just wonder if there is one that sounds the best and is comfortable to use
Can you do these trails on a hardtail? I'm moving to the area and want to get into these types of trails, looking at buying a roscoe 6 / 7. Any thoughts? Thanks!
@@DaleStone Thank you for quick the response! Would a hardtail be better suited for the green / blue trails up at burke? Just trying to work within my budget but would like to be able to ride something up there!
Generally the lowest tier of hardtail won't last very long around here, so you'll have to look into a replacement sooner than expected. I think the sweet spot for long term value vs durability is a ~$2500 full suspension personally.
