What in the world did I just watch?!?! One of the few bands that transcends the era and continues to perform and make music at incredibly high levels. Legendary status achieved.

I was also at that show in Boston! I thought it was even better than this one in Wisconsin. I loved how they were able to just strip away the last 20 years and go straight the beginning :)
Other bands start out having fun, find their way, grow as musicians, and, over the years, evolve into making the sound they want to make. Garbage started out fully formed, unique, and over the years, evolved into having fun.
Just saw them tonight at the Hollywood Bowl in LA...she still sounds great, and was so appreciative/humble performing with Blondie this night...She gave lots of love to Madison, esp their first producer Butch! She was very glamorous in shimmering silver and heavy turquoise eye shadow. GO Shirley!!
My favorite band of all time. I was at this show and what a fantastic night. Thank you for the fantastic memories and thanks to whomever posted this. What a great band and a great night.
+Damian Hurmence - Say it ain't so !!! .. your favorite band ? .. Check out the .. "70's bands" !!! Expand your horizons my friend (just my opinion and about a few million others - I'm sure). Thank You for letting me share (to each their own) ?
Sunshine 36616 says it true: "There are bands that sound AS good live as they do on records, but I swear Garbage sounds even better live." Their rendition of "As Heaven Is Wide", then the great tribute by Shirley to their cover of Paul Weller's (The Jam) "Butterfly Collector" is excellent.
I loved this show! I cringe thinking how Shirley seemed to hate that dress almost as much as I did. Come on, bring back that mini-skirt girl! You can do it!. Great show.
For this tour they played everything from their debut-album era. What I think is even cooler about this is that even on their current tour for the new album, they've brought back old songs that they haven't played in a regular show since 1996.
+Gezoes They are known for having kind of strict security. In the balcony you're not even allowed to stand! We were there that night and the age of the crowd contributed to the low key vibe, too.
SHE If angels could fly, flyto me fly fly to me. God is a queen named Manson, with a big band passionned to give this god less girl a breath. Love, unchemical and pure for decenies, sherleyyyyyy. You're more Man than many I met, thill dead, I'll be yours, catastrophic angel.
I have been and still am in luv with Garbage, but the lighting company?! Was it the venue or maybe they need their own. I know one from back in the day: maybe. Yahoo even. Too important.
I love Garbage but who ever thought it was a good Idea to have most of the light blazing at the audience should have there head examined. I Saw them last time they were in Seattle "Strange Little Birds tour" enjoyed the show but those lights were not cool and very annoying
Super Awesome Band but Madison crowd seems jaded and a bit low on energy. When Garbage plays Europe and Latin America, the crowds go nuts. Hum? Maybe crowds in Madison are too used to Garbage?
I know 20 lines are better, i bought garbage (One mile high-Blu-ray), i don't play it because i don't like it. There, all is perfect. In my 5 best video. A DVD-BLU-RAY will be great.
+q7winq7 The lighting was really unflattering, especially around her arms. I saw their show just a few days later in Boston, and she was her gorgeous self :D (Also, her vocals sounded a little tired here. Could have been nerves because it was their homecoming concert, though)
Because they dont know how to work the lights in Madison! Shirley is the only person in Garbage that's worth a shit.Think about it ;they wouldn't exist if they hadn't found Shirley. There isn't anything worth a Fuck to come out of Wisconsin .
So you pay a couple hundred bucks to watch a slide show, hear the first song with the band behind a curtain, then two more with lighting such that you still can't see the band and Shirley seems like she's had one too many shots. Disappointing.
I saw 7 of the shows on this tour and each one was fantastic. It was also a two-hour show with 25 songs, which is more than adequate. I've been to plenty of gigs with less setlist and shorter stage times. The lighting absolutely rocked on this tour, really set the mood. Granted this probably doesn't translate well to RU-vid, but it was amazing being bathed in green/blue light for #1 Crush or the pink of Supervixen and so on. The sound was fantastic and mixed perfectly, you could hear each member loud and clear as well as all the assorted ear candy. Also, who paid a couple hundred bucks for a ticket? It was like 50 bucks.
