I absolutely agree that Brian Kelly has set himself back by two years, with those original coaching hires and fires. But to any kid who is committed for next year, your chances of starting are greatly increased. Those struggles today (2024), means open competition for 2025!

I posted a few sentences (the key ones that you mention) on Facebook. Of course, in full LSU fan mode, I was still fuming (though we won) about HOW it transpired. But I simply post things being said, I don't endorse or cheer or whatever. However, that single post blew up and really got the attention of fans.

I have a huge issue with running that statement. We have a talent gap to survive this year and then we are in good shape. I like the staff he's assembled. They need to go get their guys. This is character assassination and someone is trying to bleed the LSU boosters who would have to pony up the almost $80 million then go get who? Who?

I call John wrong and a terrible assessment/article. The coaches he has on staff play a part in the culture. John can have my middle finger and focus on another team to write about. I guess he may be Jealous that LSU as a college/sports programs are on top of the college sports world

I mean let’s see two years back to back of trash 500 teams back to back Kelly comes in wins the sec west produces the best offense we’ve maybe ever seen and has back to back 10 win seasons and has a class coming in next year that will produce championships for sure with the best QB maybe the best player we ever signed in underwood I think Kelly is doing well in Baton Rouge! FAILURE to TACKLE is ultimately NOT a HC problem- tho HCs in todays college football paradigm have a greater role to play in that elixir than in previous eras- neither is it a scheme fit problem, nor a personnel problem- it's a WANT TO problem... one of the things I predicted when they ushered in the NIL era without any proper governors in place [purposefully] was that tackling & technique would take a hit across the board... prior to that system players had a SOLE motive [FOR ALL the players who wanted to continue playing on Sun eventually] & that motive was to be an NFL Player [which also encapsulates wanting to get that money bag & to win championships]... so everything was geared towards the WANT TO... developing that as a fundamental characteristic of how they approach the game... it is NOT the same as the union or non union worker- it is a very special PRIVILEDGE to play on Sun & have that opportunity & the openings for that job are extremely SCARE... now post NIL who cares about the NFL, Playing on Sun, Tech or Tackling- if you can stay on the college field & collect that money bag... no worries... so a lot of players now are AVOIDING actually playing Tackle football to the point where guys like Aaron Donald, TJ Watt, Max Crosby, Kahlil Mack, Myles Garrett seem like anomalies- the way they have non stop motors never come off the field & are such good tacklers in the RUN Game yet still A-1 steak sauce in the pass rush attack... so I think this trend will continue & be established as an ubiquitous fixture across the football landscape & the SAME people who have established "gay" marriage as if sin is a SACRAMENT >>> as if you can institutionalize sin & make it something else other than what it actually is- when the TRUTH & FACT IS that JERSUS IS the ONLY way to deal with sin...
