Honestly, I have NEVER heard Shirley sound this good live, ever! Don’t take that wrong, I’m a huge, long time die hard fan, only a couple years younger than Shirley. Maybe it’s the acoustics of the room, or maybe because she’s sitting and not running around on stage... but I had NO IDEA she could sound this good live. W O W‼️
Woah! This is sweet! These songs feel so much more intimate played like this, stripped down to their essentials, especially The Trick is to Keep Breathing. I'd love to hear more unplugged shows from these guys! Absolutely beautiful!
@@mikesniadecki1205 auto tune was alive for way long before 1999.. and its called Live tuning, i dont think she used it in this video but it's possible
I have seen them live several times and never heard any artifacts from Shirley using autotune, so I am quite convinced she does not use it . In fact once in Copenhagen she gave everyone - herself included - a good laugh when she didn't hit the note. Can't remember the song, but I clearly remember the venue because they refused to remove to stoned and abusive women from the front rows.
The best vocals from Garbage. Keep in mind they did it on French T.V. Many know the French are ethno-centric. Been there four times. To get the applause and adulation from a French crowd is something Special for foreigners.
I think Shirley is prettier than these tarts of today and she can sing very well using her own voice! She doesn't try to copy the trendy vocal sound. And this band is very good!
I love this band since I was a kid and I´ve had always a crush on Shirley but this is the first time I hear this acoustic versions. Thanks a lot, more garbage for my head
When one does a song that inspires HOPE when things are bad , it's beyond special. It's something bigger, better, and everlasting... and the angelic way Manson sings it... is just, just, um.... makes me wanna keep breathing!
What an amazing jewel... Garbage unplugged!! I love this! It is the epitome of an expression of true talent... live and unplugged! Her voice is amazing AND the drummer is one of the tightest I have ever heard.
Saw her and Garbage open for Alanis Morrisette in Portkad, OR, the same year. Went to see and hear Shirley and Garbsge mainly. Great set. All the hits from the first two albums done spot on to the studio versions. As people came into the open floor level just before their last song, Shirley said. "To everybody who just came in and missed our set ' F***You!" The bandthen Immediately launched into the set ender. Alamis' band was excellent too. One of the best rock concerts I've ever been to. It was in the Rose Garden basketball arena. Full on PA and economics. Noth bands just soared.
