Garden makeover 

This was a garden makeover I did over a period of time. the garden is unique in the fact it extends 60 feet and drops about the same.
Originally, the owner had the garden going down in tiers with plants on different levels. it was heavily overgrown when we purchased the property. and altough I trimmed it back, it soon grew back to the jungle state.
I started by breaking all the tiered walls down brick by brick. then built them up before running ties into the centre of the build for support.
I then filled the gap that was created from building the wall and the area that needed filling from the previous walls with MOT hard-core.
The backfill took 24 tons of hardcore to fill.
Once it was level with the wall or just lower. I tiled the patio with the york Stone effect flags.
I inserted plastic drainpipe into the wall as I built around it. this allowed me to put the fence poles in later at a good depth for strength.
All the digging was done by spade, and in hindsight, I wish I had hired a digger. (If) I could have gotten it down to the bottom of the garden.
the pagoda was built easily and set prior to flagging. sames as the base underneath.
simple sharpsand and cement to lay the flags.
