Our first successful sprouting of our very own home-pollinated seed has finally occurred, almost two years after we collected the seed from a fruit of our largest and oldest TN mountain seedling, likely crossed with our NC-1 or Sunflower grafted varieties.
People have been having trouble getting their seeds to sprout in NC Florida, from fruit picked from their very own Florida-grown trees. I don't know if it's going to be a normal thing, for paw paw seeds to take so long to sprout in the area, or if we may need a longer cold stratification to wake the seeds up and get them going.
